    Porsches ruled the roost at Silverstone Auctions’ May Sale, with a 2010 911 GT2 RS selling for £281,250, and a highly desirable 911 restoration project fetching £146,250. The future classic GT2 RS was one of only 16 UK supplied right-hand drive cars. It outstripped its lower estimate by more than £30,000. The highly original 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupe exceeded its lower estimate of £95,000 by almost 50 percent.  A one-owner, 55,000-mile right-hand drive UK car, it certainly proved a popular restoration project.
