  Hi folks, A friend's Nissan Sunny makes a slow tapping noise as you steer. Does it whether you're moving or not. The reason is that as you turn the steering wheel and the bottom of the spring moves with the road wheel, the top of the spring doesn't move round smoothly, but sticks until the tension in the spring is too much and then "pings" round.

  I own a Nissan Primera 1996 II, 2.0 SLX and have had no problems since I bought the car two years ago. However for the last three weeks I have found it very difficult when changing into 2nd gear. Sometimes it feels very stiff and sometimes It feels like the clutch is not being used, which I am.

  Hi, I had the misfortune to lose battery power and, following a single journey, the 'two strikes and you're out' philosophy' of Nissan cut in and  the car became immobilised.   Neither I or the AA could bring it back to life so I sent it to the Nissan delaer in Northampton to sort it.   They spent five days with the car and eventually reported that the EPS module within the power steering assembly was not responding on start up and the error code suggested a dead electronics module.

  hi .when we had the bad snow over xmas my nissan micra 2003 m reg engine management light came on .a local machanic had a look at it for me .he said it was the engine chain .he turned it off for me .( anyway it came back on again )the car sounds quiet,not noisy at all.anyway started having problems with starting the car .it would start but you had to give it full throttle for it to catch and go...could take 10 times trying then on other days start first time . . but now wont start at all. the machanic rang a nissan friend to ask advice about it .anyway he said could be an immobiliser problem .the car turns over ok but wont fire up its just done 17.000 miles and was a good car till this happened .i cant afford to have unessassary work done on it just to find out its something else which alot of micras seem to have had done to solve this problem..i have checked fuses in engine compartment they are ok.took out the fuel fuse .didnt make any difference at all.advice on this welcome ..thanks

  I need to prove that the fault existed whilst the replacement fuel rail was within warranty to stand any chance of getting either Nissan or the dealer to do the right thing. Couldn't be angrier about this!!

  A question that's difficult to answer definitively without specialist knowledge, but anyway.......Will the new Renault Scenic, due this year, in reality be more Renault than Nissan or vice versa. Can't remember whether Renault now own Nissan or the other way round but presumably Nissan's association must have a bearing for the good in improving the reliability figures for the old one.
