My 04 Navara sounds like it has a diesel knock when revved hard and has a sluggish pull but moves fast once it picks up. It starts quickly so cannot be a pump issue can it? Would anyone say that the injectors are the cause of this problem?
An injector is the most likely cause of knocking, it happens when the fuel is not properly atomised i.e. the injector drips or dribbles but it could be a mechanical noise. At what sort of revs and load does the knock occur?
