  I have a ford scorpio with a tinted heated front screen, it is fitted as standard to the car. I have a small crack in the windscreen, if it failed the mot on this, would my fully comp insurance cover the replacement without effecting the no claims bonus.

  Hi all, I've got a problem with the drivers side heated front windscreen. From what I understand the heated windscreen is in two parts, left and right. Well, the right hand side is not working, which really is the side that I would like to have working being the side I look out of!

  My wife's Focus Zeetec doesn't have a factory fitted front heated windscreen. Recently a replacement screen was fitted (the original was chipped) but the installer had only a heated type at hand - and fitted this. I've bought the fascia switch to control a front heated screen.

  My fiesta heated front screens, mirrors & rear screens will not switch on or work when temp drops to below 4 degrees. Last winter I put my car to my local garage but at the time the temp was above this and they were unable to find any fault.

  Hello everyone hope you can help, I bought my mk6 fiesta in the summer and have now just found out (as I'm sure many people do at this time of year) that my heated front windscreen doesn't work correctly. from what i understand the passenger and driver side are split. it manages to de-mist quite a large chunk (but not all) on the passenger side but only a couple of thin lines on the drivers side. does anyone know of any troubleshooting steps i could take before i hand it over to Ford for them to charge me through the you know what. i've seen other posts where people say about checking the relay, checking the earth, checking the connections but from what i understand their HFS wasn't working at all.

  A few weeks ago it was in for a service at the main dealer. It also needed a warranty job done which replaced a relay for the front heated windscreen. The dealer said this was the first such relay they can recall replacing on this type of car and as a result it took them a few minutes to find it. Everything seemed fine - job done - until the next time my father needed to use the windscreen and noticed it still wasnt working.

  I have an issue in that most mornings the front windscreen is heavily misted up and needs wiping multiple times to get the water off and clearly on a frosty day you can spend 10mins defrosting the windscreen I'm assuming this is not normal and maybe I have an issue with the heating or could it be the AC gas.

  His car does have a heat reflecting windscreen but is it athermic? (Sorry if they are one and the same!) It's an E270 auto Avantgarde about 2 years old. Andrew
