• Audi A1 - Jurid brakes 14 Aug 2014 (Forum)
  The Front Pagid disc's that were fitted to my car 4,000 miles ago have warped, 90% of my driving is in the city. The VW/Audi specialist that are renewing the brakes have told me that they will be fitting Jurid pads and disc's. I've searched online to see if they are any good and have found there website and that Jurid is a Honeywell company but have not found many forums talking about Jurid and if there any good.

  Driving into work on my 15 mile commute this morning spotted 2 cars pushed off the road onto the verge of major roads, one was a 61 plate Q3 and the other a 62 plate A3. I appreciate that VW and Audi get a lot of flak on here about their products but to see these 2 cars within a mile of each other was a shock. Its quite rare to see stranded motors these days. A couple of miles later saw another car die when it managed to hit a wall doing about 60mph.

  Dear All I've sadly fallen victim to dual mass flywheel issues on my 9 month old Audi A1.  I've lookeda round the internet and have discovered that DMF have been troublesome for all amnner of cars and warranties are not lived up to as the retailers blame it on driving style.  I read on this website that the difference in wear can be visible on a damaged clutch and flywheel between DMF being faulty and riding the clutch.

  Having had a company car for the last 15 years a change of job means I need to purchase my next car. I am looking at 2.0L diesel either an Audi A4 S-Line or a BMW M-Sport.  I am looking to spend around £18k. So how much can I realistically expect to haggle off the cost of a car in this price bracket when buying from a dealer?

  I'm looking into buying an Audi or maybe a VW. Which diesel engines out of the VAG group are best for reliability without being too sluggish? Any advice is greatly appreciated as I'm a newbie to the world of VW I've heard about how oil pump failure on the 2.0 TDi Audi's can render the engine and turbo useless.

  Hi all. I just picked up a cheap X reg Audi A3 1.9tdi for a run around. When I start it up - even from cold - within a minute the warning symbol and beep from the dash come on saying I should check the coolant levels and the temp gauge shoots across to 120 degrees.

  hi friend having problem with his audi a4 diesel. generally in getting into car after it has been raining or driving whilst it is raining the car makes all the noises of missfiring, spluttering, black smoke and loss of power. once it stops raining or left over night and is dry the next day it runs fine, power returns no sputtering and no smoke. had it in the local garage who can't find anything wrong. any ideas. thanks in advance

  My bro wants to sell his Audi A4 Avant detail below whats it worth? in a private sale and 2)as a px, A4 Avant 2.5tdi (FWD 155ps/120KW) ist reg Nov 2002, 1 owner plus demo, FSH (all bills & receipts & MOTs) currently 76000 miles, tax till April 2010, MOT end of Nov 2009, no rust usual chips on paint for nearly 7 year old car but basically tidy.

  Has anyone else got rust eating away at their doors , I reckon it is the alloy strips that cause it , as water fills the gap , audi won`t fix it so if anyone has an allroad check for rust bubbles above the alloy then go and have a good cry because your paint warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. You are not covered for external influence ie weather rain etc , this applies to the anti perforation cover too , so you are looking at about a grand per door , should have kept the range rover!

  Friend of mine is being offered by his tight fisted bosses a second hand company car. To whit a 53 plate Jan 2004 registered AUDI A4 AVANT TDI Sport 1896cc. We know its CO2 157g/km off the V5. We know where to find list prices of NEW cars but where in hell do you find the list price of an old car? Can anyone direct me to an historic database or alternatively give me the list price for the car as described above?

  Hiya, i have a Audi A4 turbo diesel 2.5 V6 engine, its 1999 (T) but i think it has a problem with its turbo, and was wondering whether anyone would know? It basically feels like the turbo is never kicking in, and when i'm travelling on the motorway it grudgingly accelerates to about 80mph, but my foot is nearly flat on the floor?

  Just check hand book and fuse 16 under bonnet 30 amp controlls both mirrors and back window, fuse has not blown. Any ideas pleeese, could really do with this now it is getting colder. Car Audi 80 93'L 2.0E Thanks!

  Was just expecting a little hatch that unclips that you put your hand through - no such luck. The owners manual isnt much help - 'take to an Audi dealer or qualified outlet' I cant believe that something as simple as a 99p bulb is going to cost me in labour charges to get it fitted!!

• audi a4 tdi 1999 model alarm problem 31 Jul 2006 (Forum)
  Recently on locking up the car the vehicle alarm has gone off randomly after 10-15minutes in the recent hot weather. I have two keys - a replacement key from audi which was progammed by them which I have used for two years and an original blipper fob key auto locks and sets the alarm. Both of these keys have operated correctly for the last two years. When I return to the car and reset the alarm all is quiet for 10-15mins and then it goes off again.

  Hi, Was just wondering what peoples thoughts are, I looking to get either a VW 2.0 Gti or Audi 1.8T Sport. I am looking to spend about £6000. I am slighty more swayed to the VW as I will get more for my money. I know the Gti isn't that quick but I only want something that has power when needed eg motorways.

  Not my cup of tea at all but I'll only get to fill it up. We are negotiating, and we are at 13.6k to change with the px being a 2000X Audi A4 SE saloon (which is in very good nick and low on the miles). I think there is another 500 to squeeze but SWMBO disagrees and wants the deal done. Any views? I don't want the hassle of selling privately due to work commitments

  I can also feel the bump. It always happens after having moved the car a few feet. Of course, when I took the car to my Audi dealer, it was behaving and the fault couldn't be detected. They said it was likely to be from the rear differential and is a common feature on 4x4 vehicles. It is irritating, if not worrying to me.

  I've done about 1400 miles in the A3 now, and all round its a very nice car, but the economy seems a little on the low side still, the only way to break 50mpg is to do less than 70mph at all times, whereas the Passat has no problem breaking 50mpg on a journey. Except the passat has the old 110 TDI and 5 Speed box, while the Audi is the new 2.0TDI. My brim-to-brim average is about 43mpg currently, wondering what any other figures are out there. That's a mix of town and distance driving, about 50/50. Chris
