Citroen Berlingo Multispace - Power Steering Issue 8 Nov 2012 (Forum)
I have seen other Berlingo owners posting about this issue but there seems to be no definitive answer, my local Citroen dealer has never heard of it. I have had a r/h drive shaft and the ram replaced. Thanks. -
Honda Jazz Hybrid - How should it work 7 Nov 2012 (Forum)
I rarely see the battery driving the engine by itself, in particular if I brake the car gently in the garage the engine continues to use petrol. If I brake the car with sufficient force then the "Auto Stop" kicks in and the engine stops until I take my foot off the brake, then it restarts but again using petrol ! -
Pug406 HDi - stiff accelerator 26 Oct 2012 (Forum)
The accelerator on my 406hdi is very stiff (firm is probably a better description)- I'm used to it, but everyone else (ie SWMBO)who drives it complains. I have tried jiggling with the adjuster and this seems to make it a little lighter for a short while but it is soon back to normal. Am I missing a trick? Should I have it replaced (it looks & feels OK from under the bonnet) or is this typical of HDi's? -

Mazda MX5 1.8L '51 Plate - Replacement tyres 19 Jul 2012 (Forum)
My elderly Bridgestone tyres are poor (2-3)mm at the front but have 4mm tread at the rear. I am considering Yokohama, or similar brand replacements. I drive about 5,000 miles per year, mainly on A roads and am a gentle driver. I am prepared to trade mileage for cost but demand a good level of safety. Would my "Trading down" cause any significant problems. -
polo - CHIPPINGS !!!! 19 Jun 2012 (Forum)
I think this must have been covered before BUT I am really annoyed ! Driving towards Westerham Kent today a couple of miles of fast B road had been tarred and chipped. Of course there were the 20 mph signs - really work for lorries, vans and company vehicles ! WHY don't they sweep the road afterwards and recover tons of chippings to re-use ? -

BMW 5 Series E39 - White smoke coming through air vents 18 May 2012 (Forum)
Hi have noticed this a few times but after longer journeys when stopped at lights white smoke comes through the air vents and a smell of burning. It disperses when I drive off. Could this be a valve cover gasket although I can see any oil leaks... Any ideas would be a great help. The engine is not over heating and I can't see any coolant leaks. -
Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 - Clutch slipping 11 May 2012 (Forum)

The problem with it is that when im driving it and put my foot down to overtake the car revs straight to around 4000 revsbut doesnt gain speed. ford mondeo 1.8 mk1 petrol - Heating issues 13 Feb 2012 (Forum)
Hi my Mondeo stays cold on the gauge unless I'm sat stationary then it will creep up to the bottom of "normal" zone, as soon as I drive off it will shoot back down. It doesn't produce any hot air the air that does come out is slightly warm not enough to defrost the screen without scrapping it and not what it used to be like. Reading some forums people say possibly thermostat does that sound right? -
FIAT Grande Punto - Brakes self - applying during a journey 27 Jan 2012 (Forum)
For no apparent reason my Grande Punto (1.9 turbo deisal) applies the brakes and stops during journeys. If I turn off the engine and wait 5 or 10 min you can then drive again. Have changed the brake hoses, the Calipers and had it checked on a number of occasions by Fiat and Halfords. No one can find the problem. It is quite an issue as they come on very quickly! Anyone had the problem or can suggest a solution? -

It was listed stating it was to be trailered away and not driven. The buyer paid by PayPal and insisted on driving the vehicle home. Needless to say the vehicle apparently broke down on the way home. The buyer claimed a refund from PayPal. PayPal paid up. The vendor told ebay the advert clearly stated the vehicle should be trailered home. -

Nissan Primera III - Sudden power loss 16 Dec 2011 (Forum)
Hi all, I just wanted to report a fix for the sudden loss of power problem, you know the thing, your driving along and suddenly the car losses power it still works but it's almost as if the car has gone into a "limp home" mode, switching the engine on and off "solves" the problem, for a time anyway, Nissan wanted £1,200!
