  Hi, I have a question about the parking brake on the CRV III that hopefully some of you can help with? The manual says you engage the parking brake by pulling it back fully. However, long before it is in the fully back position the red brake indicator on the dash comes on but the car is not braked - if on a slope it will roll downwards.

  I took my 1989 1.0 Rover Metro into a rapid-service type brake outfit this morning, as my brakes did not feel right (brake pedal travelling too far, hand brake lever coming up too far and loss of "sharpness" when braking).   Car used: Honda Jazz year 2010 Context: The car had some grinding noise when the brake pad at NSR tyre had been "eaten" all the way & the brake disc had been rubbing with the brake pad. I had since changed the brake pad & brake disc at NSR. The noise is gone which is good.

  Hi All, My wife has a puegeot 106 1.5 diesel which has just developed a brake problem. When you brake the car dips at the back as if most of the braking is being done by the back brakes, if braking really hard then the back passenger wheel locks up, does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

  Hi, I was driving on the motorway at about 60mph in heavy rain when I had to brake hard to avoid a car wheel which rolled in front of my car . The brakes worked well but I felt a 'clunk' in the brake pedal and when I tried to brake afterwards the pedal was really loose and went to the floor with very little braking.

  Hi, I've just bought a 1996 R reg Renault Megane 1.4 RN Paris. The brakes are making a really loud scraping noise and when I apply the brakes the pedal goes almost to the floor with no braking then the brakes seem to slam on fully. As a result, it feels really difficult to brake in a controlled manner.

  Hi All, I have a 2004 ford fiesta which has today failed its MOT on corroded rear brake pipes and main break pipes. The reason for the failure is following: Nearside Rear Brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.B.2c) Offside Rear Brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.B.2c) Nearside Brake pipe excessively corroded main brake pipe (3.6.B.2c) Offside Brake pipe excessively corroded main brake pipe (3.6.B.2c) Nearside Rear Road wheel distorted (4.2.A.1a) Local garage quoted £200 + VAT for the brake pipes and £30 for replacing the wheel, which sounds a lot.
