Trust Ford Online 3 Jul 2016 (Forum)
Has anyone got any experience with buying from them? The car I'm looking at is a 2014 Ford fiesta zetec s and has low milage. I've checked my local dealer Evans Halshaw and for the same money Ford want, my money would get a car a year older with far more miles on the clock. I've also read its generally better to get from a main dealer rather than franchise, after reading about Evans Halshaw its left me in doubt buying from them. -
Volkswagen Golf R - Insurance Claim - GAP in reverse ??? 1 Jul 2016 (Forum)
The finance company are not a party to the insurance policy taken out so as far as I am concerned, my obligatrion is to pay the finance company the settlement figure and it is the insurnace companys obligation to pay me the market value. Is this correct or am I missing something ???? Thanks S -
Ford Focus - EXTENDED WARRANTY 20 Mar 2016 (Forum)
Just over a year ago I bought a Ford Focus from Motorpoint in Newport. The car was only 6mths old and still had over 2 years of the manufacture`s warranty to run. The extended warranty was not to kick in until 2017 (Sept). Unfortunately I was involved in an accident last week and the insurance company have told me that the car is a write-off. -

t go above 3000 revs in any gear. There is no engine management light on. I have changed I think it?s the n75 sensor, removed and de-coked the turbo, I have tried fitting a second hand turbo, and tried a new mass air flow meter, all to no avail. # Can anyone suggest where else to start looking? Could it be an injector problem? -

I am in my late forties and have been with the same insurance broker since the early 90's, never made a claim (max NCB they give is 9 years), clean license. I drive a 2003 Ford focus with under 70000 miles on the clock. Every year the comprehensive insurance cover goes up and last year cost me £410 with breakdown cover, legal expenses cover and admin fee. -

2. Are the valves/is the system affected by temperature? 3. If one or more valves are now u/s, is this covered by warranty? 4. Does the car gave to go to a dealer to have the warning light reset? 5. Is it possible/legal (if it is a valve system) to replace the valves with 'proper' ones and switch off the TPMS? -

Dacia Logan - Tyre pressure warning light 21 Nov 2015 (Forum)
It said 'get to a main dealer ASAP'. Fortunately I was quite close to one. On more detailed reading of the warning light(s) it seemed to be a tyre pressure problem. I've just put on my new winter tyres and wheels. "Oh," says Mr. Garage Man "That'll be because you haven't got electronic tyre valves. "So how much to get the warning lights reset?" -

Should I get the oil changed anyway or am I being overly cautious? Paying for the oil change is no issue, but for a s****** (dealer) to turn down work makes me think perhaps they are telling me the truth. Thanks in advance. -

Peugeot 508 SW - Registered April 2014 - Rear tyres worn out in 14000 miles 17 Sep 2015 (Forum)
Following an alignment check camber and tracking seriously out on the rears plus incorrect camber on O/S/F. Warranty will not pay for adjustments so £300 for tyre and £140 for adjustment down to my pocket. I was in the trade previously for 20 yrs, including Mercedes Benz main dealer and I have never seen this before. -

Verdict -DH found VW not interesting, Toyota ok. Whilst viewing all these , we happend to view AUDI A4 s Line Avant (58 plate , 36k for 14k) and quite liked it. 7 seater MPV - Child restraint not allowed in the middle seat ?!? 18 Jun 2014 (Forum)
Apart from the obvious safety concern I am worried there may be some catch for the insurance etc if you go ahead and put 3 seats against the manufacturers advice. We are considering Seat Alhambra, VW Sharan, Ford S Max, Peugeot 5008, Renault Grand Espace, or perhaps Kia Carens. Would be grateful for your experience and advice! -

Jeep Grand Cherokee - what 4x4 £11k 22 Feb 2014 (Forum)
Once value of car under £6k found independants didnt want to know the Jeep - 15k miles a year (no real off-road driving), so expecting between 45-60k miles of use - i am not worried about depreciation as like the jeep i will use it for 3.5 years and then bin it in an auction - i am not worried about fuel. WORK PAYS FOR FUEL!!!! This is an important consideration Any top 3's that spring to mind -

I understand this problem only affects the MK 7 Golf GT,s I feel it is unreasonable to expect the customers to tolerate this noise and it is also unreasonable for V W customer services to expect the customer to ‘ ’live with it ‘’ the retailer says they are still selling new cars with this inherent problem therefore more people are complaining about it, however no improvements have been made after almost one year. -
