Well i did eventually part with £12,300 for a 11 plate Toyota Avensis Tourer 1.8 with 8,000 miles on the clock.

It is in superb condition. I have got used to the parking brake now.

Drivewise it could do with a little more power but i will have to cope rev hard and it not too bad. I am learning to observe the shift up and shift down. Only managed to get 30 mpg first week which i was hoping better for but by daily commute is only 7 miles each way. Some trips to gym and stuff so 140 miles since last Friday.

Kids and family love it. They got more space that the C5. Was it worth the 12K we will see. Hope it lasts for ever and does have Toyota;s reptuation for living forever.
