  Hi ive been having problems with my bmw 320d e90 when i try to start it in the morning if the tempreture is below 3-4c it wont start without a jump pack ive had it on diagnostics three times at different garages one being bmw and none of them could tell me what it was so i changed glow plugs and had it serviced and still has not worked its very temper mental as i have to put the fob in and out two or three times then hold my foot on the clutch while pressing the ignition button several times before it turns over if anyone can help me diagnose the problem it would be much appreciated ive changed all the relays and fuses aswell and it hasnt helped

  re: your piece above 'Electric shock' low mileage BMW i3's for sale. My experience is that none of these cars are actually available. On ringing the various dealers over the past month all seem to have just sold, though many weeks later they are still showing as 'for sale' on the BMW and dealer websites!

  What do you guys think of BMW F30 316i? is the engine powerful enough? bearing in mind that I'm not the kind of driver that tends to push the car towards its limits really. Just for normal town driving and on motorways, do you feel that your car is crippled when overtaking with the heat or AC on for example?

  When it comes to reliability of the CR units - who's is best? The engines in question are Merc's 2.2D, BMW's 2.0D and VAG's 2.0D I know VAG and Mercedes both had issues with their injectors-  but that seems to have been fixed, the only issue I can see with the BMW engine is the tioming chain issue.

  Hi guys, Just on the brink of purchasing my 1st bMW.. And this is what i think i will be going for.. Do you think its a good deal, or at least fair? Any advice appreciated. Used BMW 118i 2.0 M sport 5 door hatch 49K on the clock 2006 S (private plate included) Manual 6 speed Petrol Full leather interior, sport steering wheel and handling Idrive and satnav included Exterior and interior in mint condition But!!

  I'm aware how to clear the light on the dash (by leaving ingnition in pos 2 for 30 seconds). Any ideas on this?  I'm reluctant to put it into BMW due to the cost. Thanks

  I have a BMW 3 Series 1.8ti Compact. On visiting friends I found that the key fob buttons would not operate the locking and unlocking system. It was as though the key battery had gone flat after a 15 minute drive.

  I bought a 2003 BMW 320ci a month ago from a non-BMW dealer with a 3 month guarantee. It has done 25,000 miles and has a new MoT. Last week the yellow emissions warning light (with an outline of the engine in yellow) came on, and stayed on for several trips over a couple of days.

  I can accept that, however, would have thought the knocking should have stopped after 5 mins or so? The straight 6 BMWs I have seen in the past have not made this sound - am I right to walk and could it mean a top end rebuild?

  I have been having a lot of trouble trying to sell a 2003, 03 plate, BMW 318CI (not the facelift version). It has 81k on clock, Full BMW SH. Manual. Jet Black with black interior. Very smart car. No faults. I have been constantly advertising since late December, absolutely no luck.

  My mates 1994 BMW 740 is running poorly when cold. It starts fine and feels as though the mixture is OK for the first few hundred yards. After that the revs drop considerably and it feels as if it is going to stall, but doesnt.

  I saw an item on this website about a known issue on 320d of this age saying fuel pump and filters are likely to need changing) The car was purchased from Lloyds Bank Car Select and came with full warranty. Have booked car in for check at the warranty firms chosen garage - but this is not a BMW garage. Do you think I am better going to a BMW garage to get the problem diagnosed in case this is the 'known issue' referred to above? All input greatly appreciated
