Punto Van 1.3 Multijet ( temp return ex oilrag) - End of the Punto Van era ( 10yrs on (ex oilrag) 6 Dec 2020 (Forum)
I remember meeting a man who, seeing my obvious dedication to the ‘vehicle of the time’ told me “ the car is here to serve you. and not you the car” Of course, being the car enthusiast I was, I laughed at that, and continued serving the car as though, perhaps it was on an alter in some mysterious realm where touching it up with a Halfords paint tin, actually came before dinner... I’d sort of ‘automatically’ moved on from that in the last days of the van, as though it were some intrinsic survival mechanism- perhaps generated by these somewhat oldish bones being subjected to cold flagstones. I set a cut off point at 70yrs, for self car servicing, that is. -

Audi Q2 - a year and a bit 22 Jul 2019 (Forum)
Things worth having: Lumbar support; heated front seats (for SWMBO); power tailgate (well worth having, not least so that you can open it remotely and find the car in a car park); rear view camera; automatic high-beam assist; space-saver spare wheel; auto hill hold; and auto-dimming rear-view mirror (the last two shouldn't have been extras). I went for, but not sure I would again, the Tech Pack with the 'virtual cockpit': the main screen is atop the dashboard and angled towards the driver, so having the same map in front of you isn't much of a bonus. -

2) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201902114833607 Another Auto Honda Jazz. I don't particularly require an automatic. But I am open to a change, after driving manuals for the last 22 years. Also I understand that in theory a CVT gearbox can provide optimal fuel economy, that cannot be easily matched by an average driver. -

Cadillac innovations 19 Aug 2018 (Forum)
Cadillac's chief engineer was sufficiently intrigued to take him on, and after 1.5 million test miles, the 1929 Cadillac's debuted with the system. 1930, First production V16 engine. 1941, Fully automatic transmission.
