• Any - Mini cabs 27 Jan 2016 (Forum)
  Is it just me or is the standar of driving from mini cabs getting worse? In the last few days I've had several near misses with mini cabs. This evening a mini cab decided to do a u turn in to my path. He was lucky that the lorry was empty as I wouldn't of been able to stop so quickly in the wet if it was fully laden.

  I have just bought a merc c180 it's a beautiful car and drives like silk even after all these years. It was first registered in 2002 and it's starting to rust around the wheel arches but it's minimal. The garage owner who sold me it mentioned about a 30 year rust guarantee but I don't know much about it.

  The pedestrian was (sadly) pronounced dead at the scene and a driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence od either drink or drugs. Now justice will undoubtedly take its course, but why in heavens name close the road for nearly 10 hours. We turned around and went home and were not inconvenienced.

  [endif]--> When you get to a set of lights which are on red, you can leave the gearbox in Drive and wait there with your foot on the brake, rather than engage Neutral and put the handbrake on. What's happening in the gearbox when you do that and are there any important long-term consequences?

  I have a 2003 CRV, 90K my problem is when driving at 70 for any length of time the car judders/bumps, as if there's no fuel getting through and sometimes loses all power, the engine light comes on. my garage have cleared the fault but haven't resolved it.
• Peugeot Partner Tepee - Intermittent squeak 17 Sep 2015 (Forum)
  I drive a 63 reg Peugeot Partner Tepee 1.6e-Hdi Auto and am experiencing an intermittent squeak. It is quite faint, but appears to be coming from somewhere around the front wheels. It is audible when travelling at around 7-10 mph in first gear when in slow moving traffic, but not at any other time/speed nor is it every time.

  Does it matter? I've heard with newer sprinters they're designed to not allow the driver to continue to drive after a certain milage if the vehicle is not serviced & indicator reset. Thank you! 
• Mondeo ST 2.2 tdci - Turboor pipes blown? 3 Aug 2015 (Forum)
  Hi. I have a 2006 Mondeo ST 2.2 tdci and was driving yesterday and all of a sudden heard a Big Bang from the engine, since then I can hear a whistling noise, there's no power/ acceleration and when I do try to press the accelerator pedal it's jerking/ spluttering.

  My mum had her battery go flat and has been driving around with no tunes for God knows how long. Without loud music she is going to have to replace the squeaky wheel bearing. Can anybody help with where I find the serial number on the 4500 RDS unit?

  First two are obviously more expensive to buy and run.  Is it worth the extra outlay to drive them ?  I am completely open minded on this.

  Among the options is the afore-mentioned insurance company, which provides short-term cover for supervised driving in (usually) their parent's car. Seems a good idea, bearing in mind that the 'lessons' may be a bit sporadic but in 'clusters'. Has anyone used them - or anything similar - as opposed to a full year's policy?

  Recently had a service and the garage read stored codes:  P1112 and P1116 I've not noticed any issues with the running of my car so how do I find out what these codes are and should I be concerned. Read many forums but their cars are having driving problems Confused?!
• citroen saxo 1500 diesel 1997 - kangarooing /engine cutting in and out. 2 Apr 2015 (Forum)
  It started a week ago by cutting out when pulling out of a junction and then kicked back in itself within a second (jecked) this has got worse over the week till I can't drive without kangarooing up the road in all gears,the engine starts well ticks over o.k.and revs up with no problems.any ideas welcomed.
• SEAT Altea XL - EGR Valve cleaning 30 Mar 2015 (Forum)
   It is still working fine no issues, but I am wonderimg is it worth cleaning the EGR valve?  Will that be worth doing and is a expensive?  Or do you just drive it till it gives you problems?  Will it damage the turbo or something? Thanks 
• Citroen Berlingo Multispace - Second gear 'judder' 29 Mar 2015 (Forum)
  Probably applicable to any FWD vehicle... Anyone know what could cause 'judder' in second gear? It is possible to drive around it with some gentle accelerator work.  (Back off and gently reapply) It is also noticeable on the over-run sometimes. I've got a feeling it'll be driveshafts as it feels like they are 'winding up' Any info appreciated.

  Hi, I have problem with my car witch i bought a few days ago so im still waiting for v5. but the car has been impounded for no tax and it also have no mot. have I got any chance to get it back and claim it. because i didnt even drive it and i couldn't tax it or make it SORN. thank you

  hi I m finding night driving bad cause very poor head lamps .Reported to vw dealer , but no point. As cost cutting measures ,lights in night are not powerful enough. Do not throw light as much far so feel not safe. Any one sharing this trouble?

  I have been with Admiral for 4 plus years with my 2001 P38 range rover, premiums have been goog but this year they want £100 more, reason they give, large numbers of range rovers are being stolen, my cars are secure in either garage or drive, we live in a very safe area, has anyone else experienced this type of increase, oddly enough our other car policies have reduced this year.
• Nissan Primera 2002 SVE 18 - Electrics Failure 5 Feb 2015 (Forum)
    Ive checked the fuses there fine, now the heating, SAt Nav, Stereo have stopped working. It does however blow very cold air out after a few moments of driving. Does anyone have any ideas? REgards Fergus

  Hi, car drives normally most of the time, sometimes just cuts out at any speed, as if out of diesel, or stalls at traffic lights, starts straight back up no problems, changed fuel filer, no change, plugged into code reader, code u2196 come s up.
