SEAT Altea XL - EGR Valve cleaning - 5cylinderdiesel

Hi

I have a 1.9 TDi that is now 8 years old with 140 000 miles on the clock. It does 25 miles daily one way and get's new oil every 10k. It is still working fine no issues, but I am wonderimg is it worth cleaning the EGR valve? Will that be worth doing and is a expensive? Or do you just drive it till it gives you problems? Will it damage the turbo or something?

If it goes OK I wouldn't worry about it. You can get a can of EGR cleaner when it needs doing, you take the manifold air intake pipe off and spray it in the manifold.
