  • Laguna Facelift. 24 Feb 2005 (Forum)
It seems they have grafted a Megane II nose onto the body shell, (it looks like an almera at the front now) the rest appears much the same. Some interior changes, looks like its got a version of the BMW I-drive, and softer colour schemes but much the same inside. Oh dear Oh dear Renault, what have you done :(

  • Xantia Speedo 18 Jan 2005 (Forum)
For some time now the speedo has been erratic, sometimes working, sometimes displaying 50mph whatever speed I'm doing. It's progressively got worse so that now it doesn't work 90% of the time (I've been driving using the Rev Counter). Will this be the speedo cable or the dial? Is it going to cost me more than the cars worth to fix it? Thanks Simon

Hiya folks, Any help here would be appreciated.I have a Mondeo diesel, (`99, endura type belt drive, 1.8td) which I suspect of underfuelling. • Wifey wants a new car! 8 Jan 2005 (Forum)
My wife has had a smart for the last four years, but she is now ready for a change. It's a second car but the replacement still needs to be small to fit on the drive. She is considering a Ford Ka or a VW Lupo/Seat Arosa - budget up to about £6,000. We've owned loads of Ford's and I am aware of the Ka's ancient engine technology, but any other opinions on her choices?
  • Ford Tourneo Connect 31 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Yet while the Citroen and the Fiat are classed as cars, the Ford Tourneo Connect is classed as a commercial vehicle. Any idea why that is? And any idea how it compares with the Berlingo to drive and to have as one's main car?
  • Monday 3rd January 27 Dec 2004 (Forum)
I shall be driving past Blackbushe that morning and as the whole world will be shut down anyway a bacon sarnie and an hour or so watching the bidding would seem like fun. Anyone else there who wishes to say hello I will be wearing a Northampton Saints scarf which is green black and gold and looks like a university scarf, I myself went to the University of St James (this is a Northampton joke).
  • VW Passat door sensors 25 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Does anyone know where the sensors to switch on the interior lights when doors are opened are located. I have a problem with the drivers door which keeps turning the interior lights on when I'm driving along. Opening and shutting the door solved the problem at first but now I think its kaput! Big problem with this is that the central locaking and alarm now don't work! Any advice much appreciated!
  • Weird Franchise Combination 11 Dec 2004 (Forum)
So I stood there waiting for my keys and the diagnostics on the failed VW climatronic system. The guy behind me had just been for a test drive in a Trajet while the bloke next to me was discussing the suspension on his Elise. Surreal.

  • temperature gauge - Nissan Altima 30 Nov 2004 (Forum)
John; I have a 1998 Nissan Altima, the temperature gauge has started to vibrate while i am driving at slow to moderate speed, at highway speed the gauge does not vibrate and it tends to stay at the cars working temperature. The car is not overheating at all. At low speed the gauge seems to move as my gas pedal moves.

  • SUV-Beefiest of them all 14 Nov 2004 (Forum)
It has been suggested, by e-mail, that I might have moderated this thread in a biased manner due to me being one of those who actually drives an SUV. That wasn't my intention, nor do I think its accurate, but reading I can see the point. Nobody ever gave me an "undelete key", so I've taken the thread out.

If it is a concept you are not aware of www.whizzgo.co.uk gives more info on the scheme currently running in Leeds (no comments about the fact you have to drive a Citroen C3 please!!). Would you ditch your car and join such a club, or is owing a vehicle preferable?
