Just seen piccys of the goona face lift.
It seems they have grafted a Megane II nose onto the body shell, (it looks like an almera at the front now) the rest appears much the same.
Some interior changes, looks like its got a version of the BMW I-drive, and softer colour schemes but much the same inside.
Oh dear Oh dear Renault, what have you done :(

Have to agree.........When you say the 'goona' face lift it sums it up. Almost gurning.......
So sad when they have such a funky load of designs on their portfolio. Sales will suffer for this I am afraid.

It's Renaults family look, (no pun intended!) pains me to say it though starting to like the range, seems pretty well sorted. The laguna is just a midlife facelift that works reasonably well i think (what am i saying!)

So no doubt just as difficult to see out of the back.
I know I'm the only one who rabbits on about this but I do think it can be potentially dangerous to have a blind spot like that. The Megane hatch is even worse; so is the Peugeot 206 whose rear doors look like a 70s Datsun Cherry's. Laguna estate is little better - no woner they call it 'sport tourer'.
As a one-time Renault fan (I had 7 in a row, all very reliable over high mileages) I'm sad to see them go this way. Mine were all hugely practical and fitted our growing family.
Renault need to get shot of their all-powerful stylist - Le Sueur or some such name, raved about of course by the teenage scribblers - and replace him with someone with a family, someone also who thinks that the instruments on the dashboard are there for a purpose (so should be in front of the driver) not a fashion accessory.

The Laguna II hatch is strange for rear vision. In general road use the door mirrors are superb, the best I have ever used and the rear view mirror is also very good, so for general driving, pulling out, overtaking etc its really excelent with no blind spots.
BUT
There is a 4 to 6 foot blind spot directly behind the car that makes reversing into a spot a pain and possibly unsafe if anything under 3 foot (like a child) is directly behind Eeven with a swiveling 180 degree head its still the same.
