  My son’s Mazda 6 failed its Mot yesterday for an SRS (ie airbags etc) warning and a braking one. Amazingly the main dealer (who didn’t do the MoT)  accepted a booking for today and resolved these faults.

  Had a Mazda 5 2013 for nearly 6 years. Bought with 16,000 miles now has just reached 50,000. I’m in two minds whether now is a good time to part exchange. Though it’s been a good runner and well service, it could be a good time to sell.

  My 2014 example will need a new battery at some point. I'm trying to find out if it's a DIY job or not. Various Mazda owners' forums aren't being much help. One chap is suggesting the stop-start system will need re-setting after a new battery is fitted. If so, how? All I have the option to turn it on or off. Or is there some other re-programming required that means it's a mean dealer job?

  I have just bought a 2004 Mazda 3 diesel and am having issues with the near-side headlight.  The bulb was blown and did need replacing but when switched headlights on the new bulb doesn't work.  I checked all the fuses and they are OK.

  hi! can anyone tell me why my mazda 5 2007 2.0 diesel and done only 50k losing oil. i cant find any leak underneath as just done the seal underneath the engine and injection seal when about 49k miles. after the work done, my oil was above "F" level and now its on above the middle on dipstick. im using my car 3-4 times a week by 35miles go and back..

  Hi Folks, I am contemplating buying a used 2007 Mazda 3 2.0 litre diesel from a trade garage. Having read so much about DPF issues etc i would welcome the company of an experienced engineer to advise if it is a good buy or not. Happy to pay a small fee for your troubles.

  Hi, I have been looking at buying a used Mazda 6 and I went to view one today.  It was pretty much what I was looking for but I was informed by the dealer that it was an ex-mobility vehicle. For the age, the mileage stacks up but i'm wondering if I should be wary of an ex-mobility car?

  I recently changed the engine in my 2005 Mazda 3 1.6 tdci. The old engine had run on its own oil and was shot. I bought a 2008 fiesta 1.6 engine, swapped my loom and ecu, clutch, starter and sensors over but left the fiesta injector pump on it as it has much lower mileage.

  my son is considering buying a second hand mazda it has done 39000 miles - looks in good condition - when would the cam belt need to be replaced. It has electric windows - sun roof A/C etc.  But the battery was run down the guy in garage wasn't sure why - checked the battery not the original - could there be a problem with the electrics???

  I own a Mazda MX5 Monaco & am considering selling it. It will have a year's MOT & at least 6 months tax. However, there is slight rust on both front wings & I am wondering whether I would lose money if I didn't replace them before selling.

  The rear drivers side arch on my Mazda has some more-than advanced corrosion. It feels very brittle to touch and could break it if forced enough. Is there anyway of treating it either with anti rust, filler or anything else worth recommending.

  I'd be happier working with the aid of a Workshop/Service manual but can't find one to cover this year of car. Has anyone carried out this work and on a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult is it? Also, does the 'Mazda MX-5/Miata 1.8: Enthusiast's Workshop Manual (up to 1998)' cover this work on this model/year? Is it the same? Thanks

  1998 Mazda Xedos- 2 ltr V6 - 49,000 - genuine - I have had it 9.5 years - it had 2,058 mls on the clock when I bought it in Sept 1999. 2nd car so low mileage. FSH - Climate Control, leather seats, well nigh immaculate considering it is 10.5 yrs old - slight corrosion on 2 x wheels + 2 parking dings (if you look very closely!!).

  Hi Considering buying a Mazda 626 S reg. The cam belt was done at 54000 miles and now it has 102000 on the clock, should this be done again now? It's up for £895, 6 months MOT and tax, FSH but has a little rust around the wheel arches.

  Just would like to know what you guys think of Mazda TD/diesel engines of late 90s which they had in 626 and 98 onwards 323. Parkers and wisebuyers guide have got good things to say about them, pretty good MPG, decent 0 - 60 speed etc.. and according to Parkers they're 16 valves.

  OK guys Seriously looking at a Mazda 6. Possibly a 2.0/2.0D TS. Looked at one three years ago, but it was very noisy, busy at motorway speed, firmish ride and had the interior styling of a 1980 amstrad stereo. Its good value, consistent good reports and hellishly ravishing looks have dragged me back again.

  However despite this I read the advise is now against diesel especiially with the advent of the DPF. I have read all the issues surrounding the Mazda 6 2.0 diesel with regards to the DPF and believe this has been sorted in the new 2.2 version. However would we still encounter issues if we puchased the Mazda6 2.2 diesel for our purposes. What alternatives could people suggest?

  Clucth went quickly in my Mazda 6, still not got it looked at, will be a day or 2. Its a 2005 with 180k miles on it. seeing DMFs around the £500 mark just for it, was also a lux kit with DMF and clutch for 600 oddd. found these guys will doing a little research.
