  Plenty of Cheap Cars at Auction Today 24 Sep 2003 (News)
  A 139k mile 96N new-shape Rover 214Si started at £100 and stopped at £725. An unwarranted mileage 94M BMW 316iSE was a mere £1,375. An 80k mile 96N Vectra 1.8LS got to £1,250 and looked expensive against a much nicer ice blue 81k 97R 2.0GLS bid to just £2,000. An 88k mile 95N Honda Accord Coupe stuck at £1,375.

  V5s Alive at Auction Today 5 Feb 2003 (News)
  But you do have to keep your ears flapped forwards to hear the auctioneer’s description to make sure. The very neat and tidy 74k mile 97P BMW 840 CI 4.4 Sport in the photo didn’t. But instead it did come with VED to the end of June 2003 so could be legally driven as soon as it re-sold. There might have been a nice little earn in the £13,750 it made.

Other notable results from the August sales include a museum-quality 1991 BMW 850i Auto reading 57,000 miles that sold for £19,500, a 1980 Porsche 911 SC project estimated at £12,000 to £16,000 that sold for £20,360. A 2000 Lotus Elise S1 Type 49 ‘Gold Leaf’ special edition, one of just 100 cars made, achieved £16,500.
