Rover 200 glow plug light 22 Jan 2007 (Forum)
My glow plug light comes on and goes out as normal when starting the car, however roughly 5 miles/10 min into each journey the light comes on again & stays on until I switch the engine off and restart it. Am I doing any damage still driving the car and any ideas what's up? thanks. -
Six UK salvage cars on Latvian lorry? 11 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Driving through Belgium towards Holland yesterday I overtook a Latvian registered car transporter carrying six GB reg'd cars all in salvage condition. What the motivation for taking a G reg 520 and five other heaps that have been written-off all the way to Latvia (or was it going that far?) -

Rover 400D Turbo problems 14 Sep 2006 (Forum)
Driving home on the motorway last I noticed a lack of power going up hills ( was almost down to 60 mph). The turbo doesn't seem to be working at all. When I go through the gears the revs go up to about 3500rpm which is unheard of. -

Insurance company recommendation? 10 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Afternoon all SWMBO is currently insured with Tesco, fully comprehensive and is time for renewal. Problem is her current possibly does not allow her third party cover to drive other cars due to age restrictions (she is 21). Does anyone know a company that will allow her to do that is she has fully comp insurance and as a sidenote has a pretty competitive excess rate? -
'Diesel rattle' from petrol Mazda engine 28 Jul 2006 (Forum)
My 1998 1.5LXi Mazda 323 (petrol) is making a diesel rattle occasionally when I'm changing up through the gears. It's the same noise that it makes if I drive in too high a gear, such as going into 2nd before the car is at a sufficient speed. What is this noise likely to indicate? Many thanks in advance for your advice.... -

Mazda 323 pulls back 17 Jul 2006 (Forum)
I've bought a V plate Mazda323 1.5 petrol recently and when driving in 4th or 5th gear, car seems to pull back a bit and you can feel it. I've changed oil/oil filter last weekend but it hasn't made any difference. What other things should I look at. Could it be a faulty spark plug or something? -
Citroen picasso ABS sensor ring 26 Jun 2006 (Forum)
The sensor ring on the front RH drive shaft has broken. Is it possible to obtain a replacement for this or do I have to replace the complete CV joint or Driveshaft which is in perfectly good condition? I tried glueing the ring back in position with araldite, this worked for a short while but the ABS malfunctionwarning has returned. -

News from DVLA 5 Jun 2006 (Forum)
In order to assist other motorists in identifying potentially dangerous drivers, it's now compulsory for anyone with lower than average driving ability to display a warning flag. The flag (consisting of a red cross on a white background) will be attached to the top of at least one door of their vehicle. For drivers of exceptionally low ability, additional flags are required to be shown. -

The dashboard display on my punto keeps telling me "gearbox failure", however the car seems to be driving fine. Just wondered if anyone else has been on the receiving end of worrying messages from their dash? -
First Step Leasing anyone? 17 Apr 2006 (Forum)
Our company is looking to lease a pick for maintenance duties and we have found a good quote for an old type Mitsubishi L200 4x4 for less than £150 per month with First Step Leasing. I'll admit its not cutting edge driving but will provide a straightforward vehicle for the job. Has anyone out there used First Step Leasing? Thanks -
toyota mmt - automatic or not? 10 Apr 2006 (Forum)
This is driving me nuts. I've searched around the web and some reviews of the Toyota MMT imply that it just gets rid of the clutch pedal - i.e. you still have to change gear manually. Other reviews imply that it can change gear automatically. -
Blue "Police Type" Lights 10 Mar 2006 (Forum)
I've seen a few youngsters driving around sporting small blue colour police type lights in the windscreen area but today, in Clevedon, Somerset, I spied a Tesco articulated truck (unloading) with a blue light in each half of the windscreen which must have been 2 to 3 inches square and quite bright.
