diesel hike and vegetable oil 2 Oct 2007 (Forum)
With the increase in fuel costs and having listened to the radio this morning I have decided that it could be time time to start using vegetable oil, on a 50/50 basis sort of fill up drive a couple of 100 miles add vegetable oil,and vary it. Any considerations on using it with a 2.2 dc renault espace, suitability and whether it's a good idea or not. -
Would you pass the test now? 6 Sep 2007 (Forum)
I reckon I wouldn't stand much chance of passing that without hours of study. Perhaps theory is not the priority, maybe extra time actually driving would be better, what do you think ? -

Renault Espace LHD - Xenon Lights in UK 9 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Just bought a new LHD Renault Espace with excellent xenon headlights. Can anyone explain how I can adjust them for driving in the UK to avoid blinding oncoming traffic? These new style headlights lights seem to move with the steering so the classic solution of beam benders does not appear useable any more. -

Hi can anyone help me please. I very stupidly bought a Nissan Serena 1.6GX without test driving it. The speedo doesn't work! Would like to know if it runs off a fuse or cable and if it has a sensor on the gear box before I take it to the garage. All help gratefully accepted. Thank you Lynne -

If you have been a victim of the phantom flip-flop flinger, or the perpetrator, let us know. Also, do you find yourself driving along checking the gutter for the next few miles trying to find a matching shoe? -

Golf GT How powerful? 8 Jun 2007 (Forum)
I'm currently driving a courtesy car - Golf GT, 56 reg, diesel automatic. I'm trying to find out how much bhp it has. I was looking on the interweb and some reports seemed to suggest it has 168bhp and others were saying 140bhp. -
Hummer H3 'crab' 3 Jun 2007 (Forum)
Followed a Hummer H3 yesterday - at a distance. Although it looked fairly new and was not damaged, it was driving 'sideways'. From right behind I could clearly see the front near-side wheel as well as the back two. It got worse the faster he drove. He finally turned off into an Enterprise rent a car lot (!). -

Corsa ...what to look for? 18 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Hi, I have bought my daughter a cheap and cheerful corsa to learn to drive in. I drove the car myself and it seems ok , it is a 1998 corsa city with the 3 cylinder engine. I plan to service it myself and give it a good going over. Is there anything I should look for in particular?.. -
1.4 Nissan Note - Belt or Chain 28 Mar 2007 (Forum)
I have recently bought a 1.4 Nissan Note (more of which at a later date) which has a cam chain rather than a belt. Chain drive seems pretty rare nowadays but what are the advantages of a belt over a chain. Seems that the belt just means a copuple of hundred quid down the road to replace the belt every now and then. -

After just 30 miles of cleaning it out the oil filler breather pipe has become blocked again. Its 1.1 HCS engine. I have replaced the oil cap but not drive it since, I am hoping this would solve the problem. What causes the oil to go in the breather pipe anwyay? I am a bit stumpted. -
New supermini 12 Feb 2007 (Forum)
Am looking to spend 9-10k on a new supermini. I want a vehicle of quality - something that is reliable, fun to drive, etc. I'm thinking of buying a Diesel. I've basically narrowed it down to two cars: VW Polo and the Peugeot 207. I'm keen on the latter but have heard nightmare stories about French cars. Bad mechanics, unrealiable, etc. -
