  In frosty weather when this error shows up the car wont start without jump leads. All other times it drives as normal any ideas?

  Hiya, Just recently bought this and was driving it down the motorway.  However, realised that it was doing 4000 RPM at 70MPH. It's a 1.6SE Automatic. Could anyone advise whether this is normal? Thanks a lot. Awaiting your reply in anticipation.

  Looking round motoring forums nowadays, it seems that all new (ish) diesels are guaranteed to have an expensive failure at some point. So is it time to all buy petrol engines again?? BTW I drive a diesel yeti, so I must be due bad news...lol

  hi iv got a ford courier 1.8 diesel non turbo on r reg and got prob with it starting in mornings will turn over quick but will not fire , have changed glow plugs , could it be compression problem or fuel as when it does start and is warm it will start ok , it also chucks out black smoke when driving

  Hi   I have a V reg 306 ,  when I put the wipers onto intermittent, they start to wipe the screen then start to judder and stop,the work fine in the other speeds , I can hear the relays clicking like mad when its starts to judder . Have you got any ideas as this drives me mad?

  My daughter's 2003 1.6l petrol sedan has visible runout of the multi-vee serpentine aux drive belt pulley on the crankshaft. Is this pulley a fabricated item? Is this a known issue? Belt system is noisy when engine starts first run of day.

  went to change my oil today only to find the plug well and truley stuck and have managed to make more of a mess of the head. also i poured engine flush in ran for 15 min thinking oil change easy usually is? .... is it ok to drive with flush in there help!! ....

  Driving very very slowly over sheet ice I instinctively touched the brake pedal when descending a small hill. Of course the wheels locked and I slid sideways on. Would the same thing have happened with anti lock brakes?

  --[ 9]> Normal 0 Is it time to increase the penalty for driving without Insurance?  6 points and £200 is not much of a deterrent when, if someone gets away with it for a year they stand to be quids in  given the high premiums charged for many individuals.

  hi i have a whirring sound when you drive its hade 4 new wheel bearings but no joy if you put the cluch in or out still the same and if you free wheel down the road with car in netrual still the whirring sound please help cheers shaun

  Its done 108k with no history as it was lost. Its cheap. Not sure what the actual MPG will be as i will only be driving it around town (HJ C by C is quoting 19) Thoughts please? (will i be expecting big bills?)

  My sister-in-law is insured to drive my car. She has been living with us for 6 months and I just found out she has not informed DVLA of the change of address. I believe this to be an offence, but my main concern is if she had an accident, and the insurance company found out, would they then invalidate the insurance?

  Using the 'pedal' system to find fault codes the following are on my Zafira. Very jumpy when driving and 'engine' warning light occasionally coming on and flashing. Is this just spark plugs? Could it be EGR valave? if so, where is it on my car? Help please.

  When I sent off my (paper) full car driving licence I also had the entitlement to ride a moped. When I got a photocard licence back I'd lost this entitlement. Does having a full car licence still give you the automatic right to ride a moped (without L-plates) or have the rules been changed?

  Hi all, The central locking of my boot will not lock is there a fuse to change or does the lock need changing. have to drive and leave it parked with unlocked. (or its like its permenently locked but won't lock on to the catch). It started intermitently but now constant. thanks in Advance

I can't believe this engine is only 1.5L. Has anyone got any personal favourites sound wise. V8 perhaps?. Or straight five?

  , perhaps a 4*4 to get better ground clearance/ robustness? We do NOT need or particularly want a 4WD ( with the fuel penalty) as I can drive perfectly well with 2WD, despite current conditions oh and diesel, diesel, diesel cheers M
