  Therefore the question is, is it not a good idea to park on idle with the front wheels other than straight in the sense the power steering is working to no result?   you know how on a cold and frosty morning your car feels like it pulls like a train... when the cold dense air makes your car go much bettter..... has anyone routed the air con cold air to the air intake??? is it possible?? would it have any advantages?? i dont mean wires and pipes here there and everywhere just something like a bleed off point where some of that very cold air goes to the engine something similiar to an intercooler !!

  Even cruising at 70mph it is still noticeable, there is a very mild jerk, almost as if the engine loses power for a split second. The air con seems to cause the engine problems too, it idles at around 400rpm with air con switched on and the throttle is very slow to respond when I take my foot off it, then it jerks as the revs drop right off.

  I have recently been quoted £750 to repair the air con on my BMW 523 se auto. The refrigerant gas has leaked out from the expansion valve which is aparently situted behind the dashboard.   Hi Let me start by saying I hate cars. I have an M reg 405 diesel estate with air con and temp. selection. according to the Haynes manual it's the later type heater which has sliders instead of rotary knobs. Ok here's my problem. If I put the temperature selector to cold the air con switches on but if I put it to hot only cold air blows.
