  • Am I banned from the outside lane of a motorway? 15 Aug 2010 (Forum)
    I saw this comment on a forum earlier "Yeah, everyone who drives a car probably trusts their own ability more than that of a coach driver." Someone also told me that because I drive coaches, that I am banned from the outside lane IN MY OWN CAR and restricted to the same speed as the coach because I would not be competent at typical third lane motorway speeds in my own car.

  • Police traffic (Road policing) cars. 19 Jul 2009 (Forum)
    Would any of the Police traffic drivers we chat with (and occaisionally harrass), care to tell us what work cars they drive, (realise you may only want to talk about the marked ones). Do you prefer front or rear wheel drive, what is more useful, speed or acceleration, which ones handle a load best, or inspire confidence at speed, petrol or diesel, even which ones are still comfortable at the end of a shift?

    Hello, My 2001 Rio has now started to stall in the morning when I try to pull out of my drive. After I start it for the second time, it revs up and drive just fine. I think it may be the IAC and I want to try cleaning it. Does anyone know where the IAC is on a 2001 Rio? Tyrian {correct year edited into header (was originally 20) }

  • Trade policy - vehicles driven by someone else 1 Sep 2008 (Forum)
    My girlfriend is not on my trade policy but she's on her own comprehensive policy on her car. She is covered to drive any other cars as long as the car does not belong to her and insured. Is she going to be covered to drive one of my stock cars with my consent? I assume all of my cars are covered by my insurance because this is a trade policy?
  • IAM and teenagers 20 Aug 2008 (Forum)
    If they could skid round a corner, they would; if they could go round it on two wheels, they would. Driving was an opportunity to show off. Is it still like that? Or was I unlucky with my friends? Half of them had prangs which were "somebody else's fault" which actually meant that if they'd been driving sensibly the accident wouldn't have happened.
