South Wales crash cop appeals. 1 Jul 2009 (Forum)
What a great example of one law for us and one law for them. So you and I can have many years of accident free driving but we aren't really experienced because we don't drive for the Police. -

Ford Fiesta (1989 - 1995) - 95 1.1 Rear brakes siezed 4 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Hi guys Does anyone know of any quick tricks to free of seized brakes on a 1995 fiesta. I left the car on my drive with the hand brake on back in August last year and the brakes have seized on solid. I have tried driving the car back and forward a few times but no luck, it just drags the wheel. Cheers -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 98 1.8 clutch slipping? 7 Feb 2009 (Forum)
When driving normally (i don't drive fast, or abuse my car!) it seems to 'over-rev' when accelerating. For example, i'm doing 20mph in 2nd to accelerate into 3rd, then the revs will jump from 2000 to 3500 and back again when i take my foot off the throttle. -

Britain, Snow and other cold countries 3 Dec 2008 (Forum)
Why there is traffic chaos in Britain while other countries do fine? Is it because 1. Our cars are not equipped for snow 2. We lack snow driving skill (I don't have a clue how to drive differently in snow) 3. We have much higher traffic level 4. ??? -

No Insurance, vehicle seizure? 23 Sep 2008 (Forum)
With regard to the policy of seizing uninsured motor vehicles, I know this applies to vehicles being driven on a road but does it apply to a vehicle being driven on a public place (supermarket car park say)? The reason I ask is that a person needs to be insured to drive on a road or public place, if a person is caught driving around a supermarket car park (open to the public) or on a public park without any insurance can the vehicle be seized under the legislation? -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 2000 2.0 hdi knocking sound at speed 9 Jul 2008 (Forum)
My 306 HDI 2000/W has a loud knocking sound and harsh ride at about 50-70mph. The car vibrates as if driving over small bumps in the road but the problem seems to go if you drive above 70? The tyre pressures are all ok, maybe the balancing is out or suspension issues? Any ideas please -

Smoking at the wheel 18 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Given the law re mobile phones (see current thread), will smoking go the same way? IMO lighting p and 'managing' your ciggie while driving has to be distracting, especially in demanding driving conditions. It's also interesting to consider that self-administering a drug (actually a whole variety of chemical compounds) on the move is legal. -
Looking at other drivers 13 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Driving near home yesterday with SWMBO as passenger, she asked me why I didn't acknowledge one of our neighbours. I replied that I never really notice who's driving another vehicle, just being aware that it's there and what it's doing. -

Most Comfortable Car 24 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I drive 66 miles a day over a mix of A & B roads to and from work in a Renault Clio. At the end of each day I feel all of those 66 commuted miles. The Citroen C5 with its soft suspension might be the sort of car to all a drive of that distance in good comfort. -

My 206 1.4LX has developed what I can only describe as an intermittent squeaking noise while driving. It seems to be coming from the drivers side and the front of the car. At first the noise is most notable when the car judders, for example using the wrong gear... now i can here reguarly when driving....
