Mercedes-Benz GLA - Insurance Claim 13 Jan 2023 (Forum)
This maybe a silly question regarding car insurance? My daughter pranged her car while she was reversing in her drive, bumper is badly damaged and the rear light is smashed. Because it is her fault can she make an insurance claim? She is covered with comprehensive insurance/ -
It's not all EV yet - thank goodness 16 Mar 2022 (Forum)
The misguided will still convert their classics for the environment, while some understandably do it for more reliability and a preferred driving experience. For those without the means there's always going to be an alternative. I'm very much with Harry on the PHEV front. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO1RiTCZFFg -

Aquaplaning 25 Aug 2019 (Forum)
Just wondered how common is aquaplaning these days? I happened to be driving a 107 in the rain last weekend and noticed it very briefly on 2 occasions. Tyres are top quality and in excellent condition. This was something that I had completely forgotten about but looking at the width and profile of tyres on a lot of cars it was got me wondering. -

A rant here.. . Currently driving from Aberdeen to Surrey and first part down to Penrith was very foggy. The number of people who have JUST DRLs on and nothing else is astonishing. They do not seem to realize that there are no lights on at the back of the car if all you have on are the DRLs. -

too much info? - all 4 Nov 2018 (Forum)
Do all the distractions in a car reduce concentrating on driving? Sat nav screens, audio equipment, screens for basic functions which require you to search about 'til you find the one you want. All this sort of thing puts your eyes in the car rather than on the road. -

Having just been reversed into while parked, then to be accused by Mr white van man of driving into him, I have decided I need a dash cam. Can anyone please recommend a simple, compact model suitable for insurance evidence as opposed to HD track day footage? Thanks. -
Review: Bridgestone DriveGuard tyres 30 Dec 2017 (Forum)
Fitted two Driveguards on rear of a BMW E90 last year. Both now below legal limit, having done only 10,000 miles. Not down to driving style - one budget brand that was on the car when I bought it two years ago still has more tread then the Bridgestones. Not good. -
Ford Focus Diesel 2016 (16) - DPF 21 Dec 2017 (Forum)
My daily driving has now dropped to 4 x 2mile journeys. Up to now I haven't experienced any problems with the dpf unit. The engine is rated as a Euro 6. Whats best, a weekly longer journey or look at a petrol car? -
