  They still fit the cylinder (which is only the textile inner) to current models so they can't claim increased costs for limited production runs. How does one get BMW to justify this increase?

  Hi to all, we swapped an omega 2.5 diesel engine [95-7] to a bmw 525 td 1995. After the swap, car wouldnt start with the light 'fuel inection system fault' came up continously. We had a chat with afew people and the y said put the bmw pump in place of the omega's unit as it was working before.

  I used to have 2 BMWs. 1 being a 4dr 316i and a 318is coupe. the 316 was very underpowered and the 318is did have a bit of poke. i now drive a golf cos i had to sell the 318 to release some money, but i miss the BMWs and want one back.

  It appears that a 52 or 03 Audi A4 convertible 2.4 sport with around 50k can be had for this money or a 2001 BMW 325 ci convertible with 60k or so. I am torn between the two options. The audi seems to get good write ups but I do quite fancy the BMW I have read the car by car breakdown and find that neither have any particular skeletons in their closets.

  I have a Z3 3.0 and I damaged a sill ,so I went to BMW and ordered a new sill they checked carefully that is was the correct side etc.When it arrived I took it in its box to the paint shop and painted it ,then to the car only to find that the sill was not correct it was for a 1.8-1.9 roadster.The 2.8-3.0,3.2. have different sills and wings due to the wider track .To BMWs due they are changing the sill and painting and fitting at their expense .The chassis number alone does not tell whether it has small or large engine and the parts computor does not automatically flag the various options much to the dismay of the parts man.

  My Landlord dropped a bomb shell in July when renewing my tenancy agreement that they will be selling the house at the end of my 6 month tenancy agreement extension which has forced me into buying a house sooner than I planned. April 29th this year I brought my BMW for cash as I had saved for the car I wanted (I wanted a auto BMW 1 series) I'm now having to make the very difficult decision whether to keep the BMW or P/X it for something more sensible like a Ford Fiesta Zetec S Black and get some cash back from it.

  Apparently BMW service history is recorded on a computer.  She contacted BMW for a service history check and she was informed that there is no record of any service history on her new car. She feels that she has been conned by the salesman and the information that the car had a service history was verbal.

  Hi, any thoughts/experience of the best place to sell an E39 BMW 535i? Low mileage (101K),MOT'd until Oct 2017, just serviced, had auto trans fluid changed and 2 new front tyres, new battery. Brilliant condition inside and out. Grey leather and walnut. 'M' steering wheel.

  The result was that he was left facing the ceiling of the car, trying to brake to avoid hitting anyone in front of him. The car was an R-registered 520i. He has pursued the issue with BMW UK, and after much correspondance they have returned a verdict, (without having examined the seat), that there is no problem with the seat doing this. This is not a BMW-bashing attempt - I am just trying to find out if there are other people out there who have experienced such a reaction in a crash, with this particular car.

  Hi, My 1995 Merc C200 is getting very tatty now and I need to look into getting a replacement shortly. I have an 18-month old and with buggies, toys etc. so I have decided on a BMW estate. With a £4,000.00 budget, any advice on what to go for would be much appreciated (mileage, fuel type, age, engine size). It will probably be doing around 10,000 miles per year but not a lot of motorway driving - going to be used for commuting 7 miles to work.

  I am thinking about buying a new set of wheels which when purchased will have to last us for a very long period of time............. pensioners you know!!! On my shortest of short lists is the 2.0D BMW X3 but I have heard so many tales of utter woe about the engines! I have been advised to look out only for a vehicle of up to 2007 vintage as after that date they did something to the engine which was 'bonkers' and caused major problems with reliability?

  I have a BMW X5 3.0 diesel, just coming up to its fifth birthday. I got a quote for BMW Insured Warranty Comprehehsive cover for next year, and it quoted £926.71 for a year with £100 excess for a car with 50,000 miles, but said to log in to the BMW warranty site for an exact quote.
