I've heard it said that birds flying too close to Fylingdales fall out of the sky and hit the ground dead.
Could all this possibly be just a scare story to keep people away from the early warning base?
Bit hard to do as a major A-road runs right past it.

The installation in question is only working on an "nth" of the power it's capable of at the moment. It would be interesting to see what happens if/when the Yanks really wind it up.

The volvo v40 I drive has had its clock, odeometer and fuel economy computer reset several times when parked adjacent to an airfield used to test military radar.
