  Just bought an N13 as a little run around, the near side front window just drops about a quarter when driving. I've had it wedged up but it's a bit annoying. I am assuming I need a new regulator, but the motor does whir when the button is pressed as if it is trying to move.

  Hi, I have a Nissan Micra, Y Reg, Year 2000 model. When I put the fan on in the car, it only runs on the number 4 speed and nothing else. I believe it's called a rheostat. Not a problem, but noisy & gets hot in car. Is it an easy job to put a new one in & does any one have an idea what one would cost.

  Hi all, I was wondering what is generally considered the best route? Currently I run an Audi A3 1.6 TDI 62 reg. It's got 20k miles on it now but I've just accepted a new job that will move my mileage up from 8k/year to 25k/yr. The job has an offer of car allowance (£5k/yr) or £400/month to spend on a company car.

  Had this engine in a Micra a much lighter car and was not impressed with its ,poke, A qq is much heavier than a Micra so I do not see any improvement in performance of even keeping the status quo of the 1.5.cc Can any current owner of the 1.2.QQ assure me that it has .getupand go,? Would like the 1.6. diesel but short runs I fear would lead me into conflict with the DPF. hfp

  There are no fault codes. All the injectors have gone back in the same order they came out and it's running fine... Just won't boost. Please help if you can. Thanks.

  A friend has a 2007 vw polo 1.4 tdi with an engine start issue. He had the AA look at it, but the guy just said it had dropped an injector and was only running on 3 cyliders, the car only has 3 cylinders anyway!!! So fat lot of good he was. Basically, the engine turns but will not fire. He initially got it started, but it ran lumpy at idle, but was ok at high rpm.

  Hi, I've recently had a new dual mass flywheel and clutch fitted by a local garage and since then the car tends to miss a beat and sounds like diesel knock ( intermittent ). The car starts and runs, idles without a flicker, then when pulling away I start experiencing the stutter. It shows no warning lights and has been back to the garage twice and shows no fault codes. This stutter occurs at all speeds.

   All wheels and tyres were brand new too! Motoring logic tells me the tyres have been under-inflated but I'm already running at the highest pressure as dictated by Volvo. Any sensible explanations or solutions for this?

  won't start when it is left for a prolonged period i.e park up after work 5pm won't start in the morning with out a bump start , rest of the day when using it it starts fine and runs fine. I have had it in the garage as the first time it struggled to start it was frosty so I assumed glow plugs , they cannot remove as a alan bolt has been rouned off , the advice I got was to try pumping the small push button to prime the fuel, This has had no affect 73k on clock w reg well serviced ..

  Pulled car over & allowed to cool down. Opened overflow/expansion tank, turned over engine & left running, air bubbles/bubbling in coolant so water pump must be working? If not that, has it blown the head gasket, hence the over heating or is there something else wrong? Car was serviced 100 miles earlier by Audi franchise dealer...
• Ford Fiesta St '56 - Stiff Gears when Warm 7 Nov 2013 (Forum)
  I've got a Ford Fiesta St, 56 plate, 60k miles.  The gears get extremely stiff when its been running for around 30 minutes. I've had the gearbox oil change, which hasn't helped. Garage is recommending changing the gear cables (?), but aren't sure that this will fix the problem.   Any ideas?

   I do not have a manual/wiring diagram, so locating the whereabouts of the possible offender is proving a bit tricky. I am now wondering if there is a relay that has gone. Failing that I have run out of ideas. Anyone help please?

  Have a mazda 6 2.2 R2AA diesel car with 3 bad injectors, i can source very good tested second hand injectors but if i fit them will my car run ok on them or will they need reprogrammed by Mazda to get car going? new injectors with dealer is £550 plus vat each so don't want to waste money getting second hand injectors if they need to be or can't be reprogrammed?

  hi, does any body know what a whoomp noise (like a vacume pump ) when i turn left or right , when car is stationary, also when the car has been run for a while and you restart it the rpms go up and down , and the vacume noise goes in and out with it ?, there does not seem to be loss of power steering fluids, and no other problems with driving,.. any ideas would be grateful. thanks.. the car is a 51 plate 2.0 litre ghia, this problem only seems to have started since i had a clutch and flywheel change.?

  Hi guys just recently ive been having a long delay with my dipped beam coming on when engine is running the sidelights come on fine when the stork is turned fully but dipped eventually comes on which is not normal. Plus last couple of nights there has been cases where as im driving with lights fully on the dipped has switched off once ive pulled over kept moving the stork on and off eventually they come back on ?

  Steering veering left after having full left lock on parked up. Dealer can find no fault after running all tests and having taken advice from HQ. Been at dealers over a week. They're doing one last test from cold on Monday then, if no problem, I get it back, to wait until it happens again. Numerous reports of same on VW Up owners forum but skoda not interested in that.

  As far as i'm concerned this falls under the sales of goods act , as the shaft was not fit for purpose/ i'm the unlucky 1 in 1000 its happened to. their is no other contributer to the failer but with the fer member dening any responsibility for the supplied new crankshaft i have costs running into 1000s what should i do.
• Chrysler Grande Voyager - Chrysler Grande Voyager cutting out 26 Jun 2013 (Forum)
  It usually starts up again if we get out of the car and rock it from side to side ????? Recently we had our car in the garage as it would not run, it had a service, new pipes, leads etc, they also disconnected our gas conversion as they thought this was the problem. But now one month on and £550 later we are in this situation as above???
