Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero (1991 - 1999) - 94 2.8 Engine cuts out 14 May 2008 (Forum)
I have an imported Pajero 2.8 LWB that runs fine when warm but when starting from cold the engine cuts out after a few hundred yards, if I keep the key turned or leave it for 5-10 mins it will eventually start, it will sometimes do this again before I can drive away and then it will give no problems all day. -
Mercedes Benz E-Class W124 (1985 - 2000) - 1992 2.3 Oil in the Coolant Reservoir 4 May 2008 (Forum)
Hi Went to look at a W124 Mercedes 1992 150000 Miles Had a look around the engine before starting the Car their appeared to be Oil in the Coolant It's kind of Dark brown but hard to tell the exact color was wondering if this could be ATF fluid as the Temp gauge seems normal with the engine running. If it's the heat Exchanger in the Rad leaking Fluid in to the Coolant is it an easy Job to Fix always supposing I can get the parts. Thanks Ian.H -

Volkswagen Polo (1981 - 1991) - leaky screen ..best sealer? 22 Mar 2008 (Forum)
ive got a old polo with the rubbered in screen, its started to leak a tiny bit and to be fair i cant be done with the expense of screen out to investigate( assuming its a rust hole but could be a tired rubber?) id like to run a bead of sealer round the rubber to try and stop it...would the non hardening screen sealer be the one for the job? or should i try the permanent pu sealer like tiger seal in the hope that it will stick really well as long as it never needs to come out -
Volkswagen Golf V (2004 - 2008) - What is this Golf 9 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Anybody any idea what it is (S, SE, Sport). Is it a local dealer upgrade? Any valid opinions on it as a private buy for £9k? Currently running a Skoda Octavia Ambiente 2.0 on a Y. 130k. Is it worth switching to diesel in spite of the price differential. I do a 40-mile daily round to work on country roads + usual extra trips, hols, visits etc. -

What is your biggest bodge? 25 Jan 2008 (Forum)
My early Mini had a gearlever that dissapeared at about 45 degrees into the gearbox. Mini developed the knack of jumping out of third gear on the over-run. Solution - a plate with a hook attached to the heater housing that captured the gear lever when put into third. Pushbutton on the lever knob actuated a solenoid to release it. It worked very well. -

Vauxhall Omega (1994 - 2003) - 00 2.5 V6 Heater problems 19 Nov 2007 (Forum)
My problem is that when the heater is on, the only vents that blow out hot air are the rear ones!! That obviously shows the heater matrix is working and that the car is arriving at the correct running temperature at some point. If using the demister or opening the front vents or actually the heater anywhere in the front, I turn into an ice cube very quickly! Any thoughts? Thanks Simon slt -
Peugeot 406 (1996 - 1998) - 1997 2.1TD Starting clatter. 16 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Is this just a feature of the extra cold or is it trying to tell me something? Otherwise cars starts well and runs well. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment. Cheers. -
BMW 3-Series E46 (1998 - 2005) - 330d - sometimes reluctant to sart when warm. 10 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Before taking BiL's car down the dealer, any views on my theory. The car still runs on its original pair of keys (nearly seven years old now). Would the age of the key battery (both OE) potentially cause immobiliser failure to engage. The keys are designed to re-charge as the car is driven.
