    Although clearly identifiable as a Fiat 500, the Electric is marginally bigger than the electric car, leading to more space inside. The interior that's been also been given a significant update, with more leg and shoulder room for passengers, while the boot remains the same size as its predecessor. The wide dashboard houses a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, DAB radio and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
  • Sweeney Consul restoration to be unveiled at NEC classic motor show 21 Oct 2019 (News)
    Appearing in the opening title sequences of the first three series, the Consul was on-screen with the show’s lead actors John Thaw, who played Regan, and Dennis Waterman as Carter, along with their boss Haskins, played by Garfield Morgan. This Consul was used in some of the most remembered 1970s TV classic car chases around west London and consequently was fitted with some non-standard equipment including a full engine sump guard, full fuel tank shield and a bulkhead brace bar.

    Peking to Paris European Cup winners Bill Cleyndert and Jacqui Norman added to their trophy cabinet, which also includes win of the 2015 Road to Mandalay, after holding their lead from the Copenhagen start to the Berlin finish in the 1925 Bentley 3-4½. Bill said driving the WRC stages was a real thrill, but added the entire route was fantastic. Jacqui added, ‘It’s been a fabulous rally with some really tough navigation to keep us on our toes.
  • Le Mans winning Jaguar D-type breaks auction record 21 Aug 2016 (News)
      The first D-Type supplied by Jaguar to a privateer team, XKD 501 was sold new to the famed Scottish Racing team, Ecurie Ecosse, who campaigned it to victory at the grueling 1956 Le Mans 24 Hours.   It was offered for sale after almost two decades in one of America’s leading collections. The record-setting Jaguar is only the fourth British car to have sold for more than $10 million at auction and eclipses the previous record by over $7 million. That was set by a $14.3m 1962 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato sold by RM Sotheby’s in New York in December 2015.

    According to official data, more than 85,000 pedestrians lost their lives on European roads between 2003 and 2013. And car crashes are the leading cause of death in 18 to 24-year-olds. More than half of those surveyed admitted to using their device when crossing the road, even when there is no recognised crossing. But it's the younger pedestrians that appear to be most a risk with almost 9 out of every ten 18 to 24-year-olds saying they the have been using their phone when crossing the road.
