What's the work situation like for drivers? 3 Aug 2009 (Forum)
d rather stick to a rigid. I hear that driving work has also really slowed down recently with many drivers out of work. Bearing in mind my length of time out of the driving seat (I know I?d need to get a digital tacho card), any ideas if there is much work out there at all? -

Automatics - I'm a convert 21 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Now I know about the different types of auto, CVT, DSG, i-Shift and so on but what are they like to drive in full auto mode? I have heard good and bad reports on reliablity but it's more to do with the driving experience. It would be a new model anyway as I know the technology is improving all the time. -

Small lorry test 17 Jun 2007 (Forum)
My dad's broken his heel and won't be able to drive for some time. Since we breed horses this puts a bit of a crimp in plans for taking my sister to events and delivering and collecting horses, for example. I'm 21 and have been driving for over 4 years now, which I assume means I can take the test to get up to 7.5 tonne entitlement on my license. -
Lymington to Berwick-upon-Tweed and back 11 Apr 2007 (Forum)
I am driving from Lymington to near Berwick next week. Will have husband, son (14) and two dogs on board. Depending on negotiations presently on-going, my 19 year old son and his girlfriend will be coming with us or going in the micra (son driving) in tandem with us on the way up, as it will be his first very long drive. -
Driving licence - Not changed address! 16 Jan 2007 (Forum)
Guess what? Yes, i got stopped the other night for 38mph in a 30mph. I now have to produce my driving licence to the police to be sent off. My questions are: a. Am i in more trouble for not notifying the DVLA of change of address? b. Any tips/advice on what my reasons were for not changing earlier? -
Slow driving 28 Apr 2006 (Forum)
When someone gets behind me I'll then speed up, but often find a sensible pull off to let them past and resume my gentle pace. Does wonders for fuel economy and my stress levels too. Driving for pleasure so often these days seems to mean "as fast as the road conditionss permit, legal or not", which interests me not one jot. Is that unusual? Anyone else? 43, before you ask. -
Worst Test drive 22 Aug 2004 (Forum)
I was just wondering what people's worst test drive experinces were? I drove a 2 year old Honda CR-V today, with the usual blurb of 1 owner 27k miles, fsh etc etc, and on the surface looked like a very nice car. During the test drive the car accelerated very poorly ("Its a characteristic of the honda VTEC engine sir!" -

advice please, Yaris or Jazz or.... 16 Dec 2003 (Forum)
I would like to change my car. I currently drive a Renault Scenic auto, and want to move down to a small car to be more cost effective as I do about 30000 per year. I haven't been able to test drive a Yaris MMT, but have driven the Jazz CVT-7 which was great to drive except being a little hard. -
Highly qualified=lenient sentence 26 Nov 2002 (Forum)
What do you reckon? Dangerous driving? Ban? heavy fine? multiple points? strung up by the thumbs? Wrong. This guy got careless driving, £500 fine, £1200 costs, 9 points. Could this have something to do with the fact that he's an advanced police driving instuctor? -

Local Dealer vs Internet Shop 15 Apr 2003 (Forum)
In and out, every thing looks dated, and it doesn?t feel as though any effort has been put into it. Drive was not special either. 2. Nissan Micra 1. ride: very smooth and comfortable 4 2. Drive: Very easy to drive, precise handling, break and acceleration responsive. very impressed 5 3. interior: upmarket feel, very well designed superb sound system too(blaupunkt cd player) 5 Great stuff. -

Incorrect fuel - remedy the old fashioned way 7 Nov 2019 (Forum)
Neither SWMBO nor I have fuelled wrongly yet, despite having a diesel and a petrol car between us, tho that is largely because she always drives the diesel. I drive both cars so have to be a bit careful. -
