Ford focus econetic - Knocking engine sound after injector seal replaced 4 Oct 2013 (Forum)
My insurance have taken the car to be looked at but they have said I'm not covered as the car was not involved in an accident. The garage won't accept liability, they told me the best thing to do is put it on ebay for spare parts... -
Renault Clio - Made mistake buying car 15 Feb 2013 (Forum)
2. There are very wet patches in the boot and under the front passenger seat, so it seems the car leaks water seriously. The car is not very rusty so I imagine the front leak is probably the sunroof? Not sure about the boot, can't see obvious entry point for water. The car came with a 28 day warranty but I'm quite sure neither of those two items are going to be covered. -
Honda Accord Coupe 2.2 N Reg - 2 questions about brakes. 27 May 2012 (Forum)
Hi jut bought this car 2days ago as my old car died, anyway. The car had been sat for just under 10 weeks unused with a cover over it but outside. All the discs had surface rust which after a few miles was quickly removed but the rear right continually makes a noise every rotation like a clicking noise the rust hasn't fully come of this disc and it appears to be wearing off unevenly. -
99 Laguna Category D write off - avoid? 29 Oct 2006 (Forum)
I don't know why but I did an HPI check on the car today and it has come back that the car was a category D write off in August 1999, i.e. when it was just 5 months old. The seller has told me he knew nothing about the cars history and will speak to me tomorrow after he has spoken to the chap he bought it from (he does a bit of buying and selling cars on ebay by the looks of it). -
Insurance Query - Two People 26 Oct 2006 (Forum)
This, on the face of it seems like a good idea. However, he's just found out that his company insurance won't cover him on Dad's car. He's seen (and has been told too) that you can insure any car yourself for the day - Norwich Union being one of these insurers - so that he could insure himself on Dad's car for the day but I'm sure i've seen it here that that would be illegal - namely because the same car has two policies out on it. -

Citroen Car Club 6 Feb 2002 (Forum)
From a previous post I understand there may be those wanting more details of the Citroen Car Club. I hope Martyn will allow me a thread to give this information which expands on that given by HJ in the Car Clubs section of this site. The Citroen Car Club has been going for over 50 years and, perhaps unusually, it supports every model of Citroen ever made right up to brand new cars. -

Can anyone Help? - A very cheap car to give/or free. 19 Oct 2018 (Forum)
They were given (it turns out) loaned an Audi a4 estate about 15 months ago after their previous car had dpf/oil pump/clutch probems and they live on a very very tight budget. One neighbour let them use his car for a while, but now they need basic transport. credit is not an option so here we go!
