I found this on the channel4.com site: "Like Volkswagen, Renault is predicting a swing in consumer preferences back towards petrol engines when the Euro V legislation comes in. Diesel engines will have to become more expensive, with more sophisticated emissions control devices such as advanced catalysts and particulate filters, and customers may not be prepared to pay a for it, particularly in smaller cars."
