  Spotting this Chevrolet engined 1973 Datsun/Nissan 240Z woke me up a bit because I remember bidding up to £8,000 for the very car about 20 years ago in an ADT Classic Car auction at Blackbushe. This one spins its back wheels via a B&M automatic transmission and is another lot offered at no reserve. Historics Corvette Roadtser is a quad headlight '59 with the original boat tail.

  A 24k mile 2000W Aston Martin V12 Vantage manual bid to £44k provisional. While a 17k Y reg Vantage automatic failed to sell to a top bid of £52,500. Two Audi A4 B6s aroused some interest. The 89k mile 2001/51 2.5 V6 TDI 155 Multitronic SE Avant sold for £13,150. The 25k mile Y reg 3.0 Quattro was so scruffy it needed about a day’s worth of valeting and another day with Chips Away.

  Yaris For Less Than £3k at Auction Today 10 Sep 2003 (News)
  £6,100 wasn’t too much to pay for a 3k mile 2002/51 Suzuki Jimny 1.3 JLX hardtop auto (find another); £2,675 was far from crazy for an 89k mile 96N Frontera 2.2 16v 5-door; and £1,950 wasn’t bad for a 153k mile 97R ex-police Volvo S70 T5 automatic.   New Vectra customers looking for a diesel have the choice of two turbo diesel engines, 2.0 and 2.2 litre. In addition to enhanced five-speed manual gearboxes, an all-new five-speed automatic gearbox has been developed which offers the possibility of sequential gear changes. The 1.8 litre new Vectra engine will also be available with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as an option.

  You can pop into Trade Sales and drive out in a brand new one, with a/c, for £13,999, or just £15,999 for the fantastic automatic. So who in their right mind would pay £13,800? It was the same deal with a 70,000 mile two year old Lexus IS200 SE automatic with a pebbledashed bonnet. I've yet to see a cheap IS and this wasn't it because, unbelievably, someone took the bidding to £12,600.

  Morgan replaces Plus 4 with new Plus Four 3 Mar 2020 (News)
  The Plus Four features the first-ever four-cylinder turbocharged engine to be used by Morgan: Munich’s 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo, which produces 255PS and up to 400Nm torque That means the Plus Four’s performance is on par with the outgoing Morgan Roadster: 0-62mph takes from 4.8 seconds, while top speed is 149mph. A six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic gearbox are available, marking the first time this model has been available with a choice of factory-fitted gearboxes. This is also one of the cleanest and greenest Morgans ever made. The Malvern-based manufacturer has slashed CO2 emissions by a third over the outgoing roadster.
