  Hello all I hope you can help me! I have 4 x 215/45R16 90V Bridgestone Turanza T001's on my 2015 Audi A1, which has done just over 22,000 miles. The front tyres are approaching the legal minimum, so I am looking at getting these replaced within the next week or two. The rear tyres, on the other hand, have 5.5 mm of tread left, however, as you can see from the attached photos, ever since I have owned the car (bought used nearly 2 years ago), there have been cracks visible in the grooves.

  Hello Looking for a bit of advice please. Bought a 2006 Audi A4 Avant about a month ago. Told by the guy he had "done" the oil and water etc so I didnt bother to check it until 3 days ago. Silly me. The oil level was about an inch over the max on the stick so after advice today i changed the oil and filter.

  However, the dealer has agreed to change them to 18" wheels and throw in an extra years warranty. Just about to go when a friend in the car business suggested I should try an Audi A6 Avant SE 3.0 Quatro.   I had a new front windscreen wiper unit fitted today (described as unit / rod & bracket by the garage) to my 2003 Audi A4 Avant. I picked the car up after the (independent) garage had shut. The problems with the wipers were certainly fixed BUT I immediately noticed that, with the climate control on Auto, the windscreen blower came on and went off every 5 seconds or so (the intervals were not regular).

  need advice on my A6 2.4 auto 1997 . about 2 months ago it had to taken to a audi dealer as it would not start after left unused for 2 weeks.not battery problem.the dealer said there was fuel flooding and changed all sparks and add fuel treatment. start ok since but had trouble with the engine juddering at idle espescially when climate control on and using the brakes. brought it back to dealer and they changed a faulty spark lead. some improvment but still not completely gone. third time they diagnosed a faulty valve timer and changed it at total of £370!!!

  I have noticed that less aggressive acceleration keeps the judder at bay.  Any thoughts before I pay Audi stupid money for a diagnostic? Oh, also when I stop the car when it's juddering and let it idle for a while, if I press accelerator black smoke comes fromt he exhaust.

  Hi all, The ride on my Audi has gradually got worse. Over smooth surfaces at all speeds it is fine but turning and riding straight on the slightest unsmooth surface I can feel every dimple on the road and its driving me mad. Over the last two years I have had the follwoing parts (genuine VAG parts) changed on the front suspension due to MOT advisories and wear /tear; PS wishbone PS ball joint Both ARB stabilser rods Both top spring rubber mount/bearing All front wishbone bushes New tyres recently None of this has really changed anything with the ride.

  Despite a full and very expensive service at an audi main dealer, my A6 Avant 2.5 TDI (02) is shuddering quite badly when accellerating from a standstill or from a v low speed (probably from 1st gear only - it is an auto gearbox). The problem was reported to them before the sevice and they changed the fuel filter in the service (scheduled) which seemed to rectify the problem but it has started again just a few months later (and not many miles added).

  not all the time but alot, when i start the car there is are no dials working, no petrol/heat/mileage, usually when i have driven for awhile suddenley they all start working, sometimes when i try to start it, i get the first brum out of the engine as it turns over then dies, been to one mechanic and he put on a computer, nothing coming up wrong, so we have:- not starting. dials working now and again, it is a loose wire, is it the management control, is it a key thing., or is it just magic :-). Any one had the same problem? thought about putting it into my local audi garage, but just been ripped off by them. any ideas would be appreciated as i am a women who does alot of miles on her own and need it to start. cheers

  I have learnt a lot from your replies. I personally found the quality of the Lexus IS 250 and 220D sport outstanding. The Audi A4 2.0 litre diesel is also a lovely car.The cabin quality is darned good with Audi.I think it is a very good looking car. I noticed the servicing price is far less with the Audi than it is with Merc. or Lexus.

  I have an odd problem with an Audi petrol A 6 Avant. When reversing recentlly the brake pedal went almost completely to the floor but recovered to normal at once. It did it again moments later so we recovered it by RAC to home. I have looked for anything amiss and can find nothing obvious.

  Hi All, My mother had her Audi A3 -98 40k miles- in the garage to have the battery replaced - i thought 8 years was reasonable life for a battery ??any other thoughts on this would be welcome-. Anyway when the battery was replaced and the car started the abs light came on and after diagnosis a faulty rear wheel abs sensor was replaced acouple of days later.

  The car lurched to one side and I was very lucky not to have had a serious accident. Upon inspection, the front left tyre had blown out and the alloy wheel on my Audi had been buckled by the force of impact. I changed the wheel in the dark and walked up the road to discover the offending pothole. It was around six inches deep. The next morning I reported this ridiculously dangerous pothole to the local road safety hotline.

  I need some help. My 1991 Audi 100 2.8V6 quattro has developed a problem when starting. Just today I find it fires up OK but then almost immediately cuts out. The problem has never occured before today. The one thing I did different today was to fill her up with Shell Optimax (I have always used premium unleaded).
