Peugeot 206 hatchback (1998 - 2006) - 1999 (T) 1.6 GLX - clutch problem 11 Apr 2008 (Forum)
Hi All, My wifes dad bought her a peugeot 206 last night to replace her 106, after taking it to my work today i noticed that the clutch is slipping slightly. It only happens after i've just changed gear and give it full throttle, after a few minutes it settles down and drives fine and dosen't slip again until i change gear. the car has 94,000 miles on the clock so it s probably still the original clutch. -

I have a Peugeot 306 XSi 2.0 8V 1997. It stalls whilst the car is warming up. Once the engine is at normal operating temperature it doesn't stall. I have replaced the stepper motor and engine coolant temperature sensor with new replacements. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 98 1.6 diagnostics warning / dodgy idling 15 Dec 2007 (Forum)
Hi, Can anyone give me an idea of what might be wrong.. The idle speed on my 1998 Peugeot 1.6LX EST is usually around 800rpm but occasionally gets stuck at anywhere between 1500 and 2500 (often when cold, but also when warmed up). Today it started going up and down wildly until it dropped so low the engine stopped. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 1998 1.9dt - Dead batteries on key fob 28 Oct 2007 (Forum)
It does work until the batteries go flat. I've had the problem for ages and have just used the keys normally as when i rang peugeot i was told need new key. Is the key duff? I did read somewhere you can get a second hand key and reprogram using the spare key. Is this true? ANy help would be appreciated, would be handy getting it working again. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - Fitting single electrics tow bar 24 Oct 2007 (Forum)
I have just fitted a tow bar to my Peugeot 306 and now need to fit the electrics. 1) Do I simply drill a hole in the underside of the car and fit a gromet and drag the wire through or is there some other better route/ way / position for this that a pro would use ? -

Peugeot 106: noise on starting off. 14 Oct 2006 (Forum)
SWMBO's beloved 1993 Peugeot 106 1.4 diesel has a problem which has just started to show. When starting off from rest - in either first or reverse - there is a momentary 2-3 second noise coming from the engine bay sounding like a light metallic tinkling as if a piece of sheet metal is gently hitting another very quickly. -

Peugeot 406 Rear Discs & Pads 13 Apr 2006 (Forum)
Hi Guys, Got some conflicting information regarding changing the rear discs and pads on my 2002 Peugeot 406 estate lx HDi. My colleague (who is a technician like me) says that the caliper will need to be wound back in prior to fitting the pads, using a special tool (although he says it can be done with a pair of grips). -
New Car Peugeot 206SW 22 May 2005 (Forum)
It needs to be automatic transmission. I have found two which seem to fit the bill, the Ford Fusion and the Peugeot 206SW. Of these the 206 is more comfortable and suitable. However, I have heard reports that the 206 can cut out while driving. (BBC Watchdog December 2004) Do you know if this problem has been addressed, or explained. -
Peugeot 106 ticking noises 30 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Morning all Recently acquired a 1997P Peugeot 106 1124cc, with 60,000 miles. Smashing little car, great to drive with PAS etc. Its got a full service history and everything seems fine, however it has started making a ticking noise from the engine. -
Peugeot 106 Brake Adjuster Cams Worn Out 31 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Question is - can I get new adjuster parts without buying new shoes which are as new? My gneral experience with Peugeot dealers is that they want to sell you 'half the car' to get the bits which you really need!! In any case, the 'teeth' on the opposing cam, which you don't get with new shoes, has also started to wear. -
Peugeot 406 Coupe - thoughts? 31 Aug 2003 (Forum)
I can handle the odd gremlin as long as the core build is strong and the engine is not an oil burner, my last peugeot 205 gti put me off the marque for life... stalling, coughing, smoking thing that it was but beautiful on the right road and to be fair the body was still corrosion free. Thanks, Ian -
Peugeot 406 errant revs. 6 Aug 2003 (Forum)
Have just acquired a P reg. Peugeot 406 2.1 TD. The previous owner had occasional trouble with the engine revs cycling and engine slow to rev down when foot off throttle. The local agent ran a diagnostic check which reported no faults but he did clean contacts on the ecu (quote). -
Sick Peugeot 24 Jun 2002 (Forum)
Can anyone help. Bought a Peugeot 405 diesel estate from a garage whilst on holiday. Had it on the road for 3 weeks and less than 400 miles, requires new engine – apparently pistons damaged by water. We are told L reg upwards can’t just replace pistons so need recon engine. -
Peugeot 406 2.1 TD, engine cutting out. 28 Feb 2002 (Forum)
I have a Peugeot 406 2.1 T D with 53,000 miles. About 1000 m. ago the engine stopped for an instant and then resumed power, this happened again about 200 m. later. At 10,000 m. I had disconnected the EGR system, very beneficially, but I don't think this has anything to do with the problem. -
Overheating Peugeot 405 18 Sep 2001 (Forum)
Well, not overheating exactly but still a problem. I have an old Peugeot 405 1.6 GR manual that runs at its usual temperature when on the move but when stopped or at low speed (at the traffic lights, in a jam etc), the temperature gauge rises much more rapidly than normal.
