Nissan Juke - Waiting lists for cars 2 Feb 2011 (Forum)
This great looking car seems to be a hit. I was surprised to find, that the cabin is as big as my current Mazda 3 Sport. Yes the boot is smaller but as it is just for the wife and I, it's a winner. Our other cars on the purchasing short list; Qashqai and ix35 are also in short supply. -
Servicing/major repair costs 13 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Short of forensically questioning a whole load of dealers/garages and compiling a very long list, is there any way of finding out the servicing and... -
Subaru Impreza II fl 2 - WRX Turbo or 2.0 Sport? 8 Apr 2010 (Forum)
I plan to replace my 11 year old Mazda in the next year or so. I like Subarus and an Impreza would suit me well. I've test driven a 2.0 sport and found it a bit lacking in torque so I'm considering the WRX, though I haven't driven one yet. -
3 series convertible - cleaning leather seats & fabric roofs 20 Mar 2010 (Forum)
On my old Mazda 626 I cleaned the leather upholstery with hot soapy water applied with a sponge, allowed to dry, then used autoglym Leather Care Cream. at 12 years old it did not make much difference, but on my 'new' convertible there is ingrained dirt on the leather which does not come off using this method. -
How far you can rev the engine? 8 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Over 4000 RPM I can really feel the extra power (heard that 2nd valve kicks in at that RPM). I very rarely go to 6000 RPM level but does it damage engine anyway? I heard in Mazda RX8, you can go upto 9000 RPM but it's a different engine altogether. -

Quoting '20' miles for 20k? 3 Sep 2009 (Forum)
Now, however, knowing that there are some cars with delivery miles that have been sitting around unsold for a year or so (think Subaru, Honda or even Mazda) it is becoming irritating to ring up about a '20 miles' 2008 car to be told 'No, mate, it is 20,000'. Is it just me that doesn't get the trade jargon? -

Reliable car for £10,000 8 Jul 2008 (Forum)
I'm just beginning to look into purchasing a new smallish 3 door car. I am interested in the Mazda 2 and Toyota Yaris, also like VW Fox & Polo, Corsas & Fiestas too. Having just experienced a bad ordeal with a recently purchased car which I am in the proceeds of rejecting I do now need a good reliable car which also has good customer care (if thats possible!!) -
Large estate circa £3k. 11 Mar 2008 (Forum)
She has no p/ex, a max budget of £3k. several years NCD and drives less than 10k miles pa. My obvious thought was a petrol Mondeo, or save some money and get a older Mazda 626 or Legacy estate. Preferably she would like something with a little more 'prestige'! An old A6 might fit the bill, but the cost of parts and reliability could be an issue. Any suggestions please. -
Mazda3: Annoying Glovebox Rattle 9 Apr 2007 (Forum)
I have a Mazda3 2006 face-lifted model bought October 2006. The glovebox has an annoying rattle. It is definitely the gloxbox lid/cover that's rattling... -
Bleeding brakes 1.6 ZM Engine (BJ) 3 Jul 2006 (Forum)
1.6 ZM Engine (BJ)MAZDA 323F. Can someone tell me, when bleeding brakes does the engine have to be switched on to keep the ABS pump running. Or do you just bleed the brakes the normal way using two persons. It's just that I changed the brake fluid and now the pedel goes down a lot. -
Why do cars have cambelts? 30 May 2006 (Forum)
Is it me or is this a cynical exercise to allow dealers the opportunity to charge the earth? My 1987 Mazda 323 doesn't have a cambelt, the result of which means that even a full service ( oil/filter, coolant, plugs, brake fluid, air filter ) only comes to about £120 if that. My question is, does having a cambelt really improve the car or is it a money making scheme by manufacturers that they build in when they dont have to? -
Many thanks HJ 18 Dec 2005 (Forum)
If it wasn't for HJ's review I dont think I would have considered this car and would have ended up with the competent but boring Mazda 2 or the very good but very expensive Jazz. We have the 1.5 CRDI Rio and are really pleased with the build quality, handling and above all value for money. -
Disc caliper/handbrake problem 21 Jul 2003 (Forum)
them on may be familar with their tendency to stop working properly. Or maybe I've just been unlucky, but has anyone had this happen to their Mazda 323F? Ours is a 1990 GT, and the rear calipers are relatively new, so I'm hoping it will just be an adjustment, but I haven't tackled these particular ones before, and I don't have a manual. Any help/shared experience would be much appreciated. -
Nonsense Marketing Waffle 4 Mar 2003 (Forum)
Do folk have favourite examples of car-related marketing spiel that makes no sense at all? To give you an example, Mazda sent me some info. on the appealing new "6". However the effect was rather spoilt by the inept wording of the covering letter which included the following phrases: "Our...diesels let you enjoy the *ride and handling* of a petrol engine.." -
Cars with less space than should be 2 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Skoda Superb; left foot rest was far too small for my size 14s. I can't remember which cars at the motorshow I couldn't fit into. I think it may have been the Mazda 6, VW Golf, Discovery. Anyone got any others? -
Auto Express Reliability Survey 27 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Rover 800 was bottom, closely followed by Land Rover Freelander (Maybe they should re-name it the Land Rover Lowloader, but at leats they can claim it's the second top off-roader). Toyota RAV4 was top of the list, with the Mazda 626 breathing up its exhaust pipe. Car by car breakdown also contains results of other reliability surveys so gives a balanced view. HJ
