3 series convertible - cleaning leather seats & fabric roofs - legacylad

On my old Mazda 626 I cleaned the leather upholstery with hot soapy water applied with a sponge, allowed to dry, then used autoglym Leather Care Cream. at 12 years old it did not make much difference, but on my 'new' convertible there is ingrained dirt on the leather which does not come off using this method.

The fabric hood is also pretty filthy. How best to clean this please without reducing its water repellency?

Not sure about the leather but there are cleaner/waterproofing products.Used one last summer, first you vacuum the hood then use the cleaner, leave to dry then put on the conditioner, worked pretty well. Maybe asking at places that sell leather sofas might give some ideas on the seats.
