  • MX5/MGF/Megane Cab 25 Oct 2001 (Forum)
My preference is for the MX5, due to its looks and perceived reliability. Altough it does not look as well equipped as the other two. Both the MGF and certainly the Renault have demonstrated to be less than good in terms of build and reliability. On paper the Renault is the best equipped of the three and Mrs Etchells is leaning towards that model, especially as it has room for the dog in the back.

  • Renault Kadjar - Part exchange settlements 17 Mar 2017 (Forum)
Myself and my wife have two cars, both on PCP finance that we are trading in this week for a new Renault Kadjar. Both cars had a little negative equity but the dealer has rolled that into the deal. So two part exchanges for one. However, since agreeing the deal three weeks ago the settlements for our current cars have come down by a total of £500.

  • Should I sell my Renault megane 59 1.6 petrol. 21 Feb 2014 (Forum)
I bought a brand new Renault megane dynamique 1.6 petrol 4 years ago and it has just over 32000 miles on the clock. I recently changed jobs and wanted a run around for high miles up to 500 per week, I didn't fancy putting the miles on the megane so bought a yaris diesel which was going well until I crashed it last week and is up repairable.

  • Renault Laguna 2 1.9dci 120bhp sport tourer - 2.DEF : Coherence between the boost pressure and a 26 Sep 2013 (Forum)
2.DEF : Coherence between the boost pressure and atmospheric pressure. This is the error code and description that the Renault can clip is giving me. I have now changed what I think is everything but still problems persist. The car is still running like a bag of s*** and I am sorry to all those people behind me today as I puff out more black smoke than a steam train.

  • Renault Laguna SPT - New MOT 7 May 2012 (Forum)
After its last MOT I was told that it will fail the next one because of this. I checked with Renault about this and asked if they would disable the Pressure sensor. The Foreman said that the new MOT rules are only for new cars and that my one would pass, he also said that he didn't think that the pressure sensor could be disabled.
  • 2003 Renault Scenic (old shape) - Car Pulling to Left Under Braking 3 Oct 2011 (Forum)
Hi, I've got a 2003 Renault Scenic 1.4 (old shape), which is pulling to the left under medium braking. Light braking, it's fine, heavy braking, it's fine, but under medium braking, it seems to dive down a bit at the front, along with wallowing off to the left.
  • HJ Renault ECO2 diesel - HJ-PR advertorial drivel 20 May 2011 (Forum)
Just had a quick look at HJs appraisal of Renault's ECO2 diesel and this horror leapt out: It does this through a variety of technologies. It is ‘undersquare’: 80mm bore and 79.5mm stroke, which is unusual for a diesel engine .
  • Renault Megane III (2008 - ) - No 2.0 diesel option 2 Mar 2009 (Forum)
We had the former in a Megane 2 and didn't rate the engine very highly and the 1.9 F9Q is getting a bit long in the tooth now. What we really want is the super new Nissan/Renault designed 2.0 engine but it's not available yet it was in the old Megane. Otherwise we were quite impressed, it's much better assembled then the Megane 2 although they haven't bothered to move the START button over for RHD.

  • Renault Scenic (1999 - 2003) - 02 1.6 petrol, burning smell 9 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Then this month I had rear shockers replaced and also a new brake servo fitted. All parts were new parts and work carried out by Renault dealer. But now when I drive my car and get to where I am going there is a slight burning smell when I get out of the car. A friend said it could be the clutch???? What I wanted to know is could any of the recent work done to the car be causing this smell or is it more likely my friend is correct???
  • Renault Clio Window Seal 2 Nov 2004 (Forum)
Someone has attempted to steal my niece's "P" reg Renault Clio. They didn't succeed in taking the car, but have managed to damage the outer rubber seal at the bottom of the drivers door window. The window itself appears to be OK. I don't know very much about Clio's, I'm sorry to say, so I wonder whether a kind person on here can please tell me how to replace the lower outer seal.
  • Renault Clio Bloss of brake servo 2 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum, but would like some assitance with a problem I have with my Renault Clio 1994 RL diesel 1.9. I have no servo assisted braking which makes braking very heavy indeed at low speed. However, when I was on the motorway yesterday at high speed the brakes were very sharp so the power assistance seemed to be working ok.
