thanks in advance :-)

This sounds mad, but isnt the C8 more reliable and cheaper to repair?

Never thought I would say that about a C8.

haha If you have any other cars on par with these please shout! im simply going on looks and size of boot i do like to have room with all 7 seats up which knocks out the zafira and galaxy :-(

I seriously think at the moment the only thing putting me off of the c8 is the interior i do like the look of leather! loss of sat nav not really a problem there so cheap and much better these days.

Kidsdid have tv in the back but in the year i had it never used it once so again no loss.

I also really like a nice high up car does anyone know the height difference in the 2?

Finding a C8 that has not been abused in its past is pretty near impossible I would have thought,if you need room a Ford Transit or any of the like wise vans in crew bus clothes would be a lot cheaper.

Agree with you Collos.

Far better to get one of the many, often suprisingly luxurious, conversions based on vans, going to be far more durable and 'should' be fixable.

So VW Transporter things (currently fashionable so way overpriced), Mercedes V class (Vito van based), Hyundai i800, even Tranny or any other luxurised (is that a word?) van.

There are some luxurious Japanese grey imports based on Toyota and Nissan chassis too, plethora of wierd and wonderful names, then the few genuine imports that might fit the bill such as Previa....often available with decent sized petrol engines so ripe for LPG conversion, indeed many are.

The two MPV's in the OP can be staggeringly expensive to put right when they fail, it seems to be injector failure on the Diesel versions of both which write them off as it appears the engines usually have to come out and the injectors get stuck in place anyway, so despite its obvious drink problem the OP's petrol Espace was probably the pick of the two...so if its a choice between those two and nothing else, i'd try to find another gas guzzler Espace.

The car for you could be from the latest Ford Tourneo range.

Either the Tourneo Connect 7 seater MPV or the Tourneo Custom 9 seater People carrier and remove the back 2 seats.

I am after a Tourneo Connect MPV, but have been given a April date as to when they will be available to test drive.

If you want a real bargain, consider the Ssangyong Rodius or Turismo.

They are both huge and reliable.

I've been looking out for a van (Transit, Iveco Daily) for the last two years and I can asure you they aren't cheep!!! The very reason I've not got one is because rusty 150,000mile+ vans are going for really not worth it prices!

I did however look at a few Mazda Bongo's that were very plush (too plush for my needs) and if you buy the 2.5D their economical too!

What's your budget, Kellie?

You might be pleasantly surprised by the Ford S-Max if you can afford one.

Agreed, re the S Max. My daughter and her family ran a diesel one and was an excellent vehicle. 7 seats or 5 pous go0d luggage space ISTR.
