• Nissan Note 1.6 Tekna auto (2007) - heater fan stopped working 22 Mar 2011 (Forum)
  Fan controls on dashboard show symbols and lights on as normal, but fan did not function. This fault is unusual on the Note but more common on the Nissan Micra model. After testing, the fault was traced to be a 'Fan control module', a small plug-in unit mounted under the dashboard. This is not a repairable item and a new replacement unit is only available from the Nissan Dealership.

  His response makes interesting reading, as I have an iPhone TomTom app, which updates real time free of charge and tells me exactly where I am. The Nissan version is updated every 3-4yrs (yes every 3-4 yrs), at a cost of £260. I realise that a) I will never buy another Nissan, b) I will have to put up with owning the ‘pup’ of the sat nav they insist you get with the Tekna, but Nissan GB now know there is a problem, and they continue to sell the sat nav in the Tekna spec.

  Hi i was looking for some help with my nissan almera automatic, 1.8 se 2004, it has just passed its MOT and has been serviced by main nissan dealer, last service at 46,000 it now has 51k on the clock. I was driving y'day on a dual carriageway and when i tried to put my foot down i felt a lack of power and the car was very sluggish, upon my return i noticed that the car felt overheated although the heatometer was normal, it also smelt like somethign was burning, i am at a loss now as it appears that the car in the lower gears takes along time to engage gears, this is not a regular occurence, this is irregular, i was thinking maybe i have cluth burning or maybe the air mass flow meter, but there is no sign of an engine management light, is it possible that i could just be the gearbox oil, i have checked all other fluids....please help before i get ripped off and spend more than the car is worth....

  My wife's Nissan keyfob is dying in terms of the rubber button, the fob itself is OK. What are the options for remote keys? I got a quote of £55 for just a plain copy with transponder in, dread to think what the cost of an original would be!

  i've recently purchased a 2005 Nissan Almera 1.5sx with only 20,000miles on the clock but i've noticed a vibration through the steering wheel and the car generally at speeds of 60 - 75 mph. had the wheel alignment and balancing done but still seems to be a problem. is this a design problem with the car or should i leave it in with a Nissan Dealership as it has 3 months warranty left.the car was previously " pulling" to the left and needed realignment. any suggestions would be most appreciated.

  Hi guys, one of my mates is looking for a cheap Japanese diesel car. He's not sure whether to go for Nissan Primera or Mitsubishi Carisma. He could get both of these with around 100k miles on them within his budget. We know nothing about Nissan or Mitsubishi diesels. I've had Primera petrol and he had a Carisma petrol in the past and they both were utterly reliable.

  Hi, Had this diagnosed as the fault by Nissan. Car is only worth £700 but I like it. Compressor is noisy and air con not working. I can get compressors on ebay for £30-40. What is the likely labour charge from an independent?

  Does anybody know what the fuel tank capacity is on a 1996 Nissan Micra? According to the Haynes manual its 42 litres but I can never get more than about 30 litres of petrol in, even when the fuel gauge is on red.

  Our rector has asked me to look at a clean 70k mile Nissan Primera TD 2001 vintage for him to use. Best thing we could find at £1200. Has it got a cam belt or a chain? Is there anything I shouldbe looking out for? Thanks

  Going to look at a 1999 V reg NISSAN PRIMERA hatchback tomorrow. Its a 1.8 with 79k on the clock. I've never own one of these cars before so can you good people give me some hints as to what to look out for. Many thanks
