  Has anyone out there actually bought a used, new shape Mini? I ask because at the 2(BMW) dealers whose ads I see ,even 2 year old ones cost more than new ones(yes even with 'extras').Surely there can't be a long waiting list now and if they are supposed to hold there value,you might as well buy a new one with 5 years warranty!

  Seems the must have present for young chavs around here (Purley) was a mini motorbike. Have you seen one yet? Tiny little replica bike with chavvy just able to sit on it, but goes like stink (petrol, possibly castrol R as well). I have had these go inside me at junctions, outside, jumping lights, on pavements, paying little attention, with seemingly no sense of danger and no crash helmets.

  Just passing time looking at the e-bay motors section recently and I am amazed at the prices being asked (and sometimes achieved) for the old style Mini. Not the 60's/70's Cooper/1275 models I hasten to add, but the 1.0 litre BL built cars from the 80's, most of which have long since died from terminal rust. One punter was after £1500 for his rusty 1985 mayfair model!

  Does anyone know what I mean by a Ford Transit based mini-bus/people carrier thing. It has luxury trim, a hatch door at the back and sliding side door. The engine is a 2.5TD. About 1997 build. Could be called a Tauneaus??......or something like that. Any experiences of this vehicle...maintenance or riding in/driving experiences.

  Decisions, Decisions... I'm looking to buy a Mini Cooper S, either a late Supercharged (06) model, or the later turbo version. I have driven both examples, and found the supercharged variant more involving, as the sound of the SC and the slightly less 'bloated' interior gave a better feel and feedback on the road.

  Hello, I have a Mini One D REG55 and when it is started up in the morning the engine purrs intermittently and when in first gear and not accelerating the car jolts. Once the car is warmed up its fine however the engine is more noisy then usual.

  i have bought a new bmw mini r53 cam tensioner and thought all was going well when replacing, but as i undone tensioner nut to expose the tensioner only the plastic cap end of the tensioner came out leaving the metal section still in.

  I've got a problem with getting the mini into gear. It moves through the gears OK when the engine is off, but won't engage 1-4 when it's on. Reverse will engage with the engine on, but even with the clutch fully depressed it lurches backwards.

  2003 mini cooper s. engine bonnet wont open. i can release catch inside car ok but after i release safety catch under bonnet only the nearside of bonnet opens. latch on drivers side stays firmly locked/jammed. has anyone else experienced this problem and if so i would greatly welcome any advice on how to solve/open my bonnet. thanks Max

  Any mini cooper s/ cooper/one owners out there. 4 weeks old cooper s 1000 miles a very intermitant fault has developed (happened 6 times), when using remote to open car, sunroof tilts and windows drop about one quarter of an inch, can only be rectified manually, have spoken to service department, and it's a new fault for them.

  Hi, I have been looking round some sites for a new mini and got a quote on each for the following: MINI One Salt Pack 15inch alloys Chrome bumpers TLC Pack so far these are my figures: Drive the deal - terrible £6.50 saving!!!!! micronetshowroom - £850 saving but without TLC and is an import so probably around £300 saving UK Car Broker does not have it on their website but im not sure it will be any better....
