FAO Mad Maxy : Vents 8 Jan 2004 (Forum)
The silver indicator vents are available from MINI Spares (carmad links to it on his thread) and also on eBay - usually they're there for £40 or sometimes in an auction - do a search for BMW MINI on eBay.co.uk e.g. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2452862972&category=28646 HTH, -- Lee MINI adventure in progress -
Clarkson on Diesels 10 Dec 2003 (Forum)
Mention of Jeremy Clarkson is also guaranteed to get adverse reaction in this forum. Therefore his report on the BMW 530d in today's Sunday Times will upset both camps. Actually for all his Tongue in Cheek style - "comparing it with anything fuelled with petrol is as stupid as comparing a typewriter to your computer" - he does sum up the case against diesels well. -
your thoughts on Rover 618 8 Oct 2003 (Forum)
Mint condition but with 107,000 miles on the clock priced around £1800 (buying from my company) Do these cars stand up to high milage? Im really tempted but the milage is doing my head in!!! Ive had a couple of BMWs with this kind of milage but it never bothered me as people always say they can go round the clock if looked after. Any input would be much appreciated. Cheers Cliff -
anyone interested in 30\'s roadsters 24 Mar 2003 (Forum)
Hi All; My other half was looking to buy a Morgan Aero 8, until he found a car called the Marlin Sportster, made by Marlin Cars in Crediton, Devon. He\'s just ordered one based on BMW E36 M3 mechanicals. I mention this only because I believe firmly in supporting smaller companies and when i saw what these guys are producing I could not believe it. I suggest following these links: http://www.marlinracing.co.uk (manufacturers website.) -

3 series reign of terror 10 Feb 2002 (Forum)
In an attempt to get back to normal..... I read today (browsing in Tesco) that Top Gear magazine names the BMW 3 series as best executive car, calling it 'near perfect'. Is it really that good? My experiences with a E30 320i and a friend's problems with a E36 318i weren't that confidence inspiring. Nice looking cars but not that reliable. -
Renault Vel Satis 28 Jan 2002 (Forum)
The reports I've read on the Vel Satis suggest there is not a lot of room for passangers in the back - if so then what on earth is the point of the upright style ? BMW, AUDI and Mercedes don't need to lose any sleep I think ....... -

Re 'Chipping' 27 Jul 2001 (Forum)
A friend has recently had his BMW 3 series re-chipped and not only has it increased his performance but he says it has improved his fuel consumption. Apparently it has not affected his warranty. I have a Honda Accord 2.0I SE VTEC and wodered if it would be an advantage to look into re-chipping and whether it is likely to give me the same benefits without affecting warranty. -
