Hi all,  First time for me writing in this forum but also first time buying a car as I have always had company cars until now.  I have come accross a nice looking Fiesta sold by a Nissan dealership (part exchange vehicle). The car looked good, drove well, low mileage at 46k. All seemed fine until I looked at the paperwork. The service history is not full and stops in March 2017. All previous services done at Ford dealership.
  • What fuel next 6 Mar 2018 (Forum)
Hi all. New to the forum and have a dilemma. I currently own a 2015 plate Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dci and its coming to the end of its finance ageement in June 2018 and I will be handing it back. To be honest it’s a nice car to drive but with endless problems I have had with it well I don’t want it.
  • Best Family Car for 5k? 6 Jan 2018 (Forum)
Currently looking at a few - Mondeo Estate  - Focus Estate  - Insignia Estate - Freelander 2  - Mitsubishi Outlander - Nissan X Trail I'm not hugely fussy but I want the car to suit my eye (which rules out MPVs) having previoulsy had a Rav 4, I like the bigger cabin and the idea of being higher up so the 4x4 ones appeal a little bit more - but it does seem as though these are generally have higher miles or older reg for the same money.
  • Picasso c3 v CMax V Juke - Changing car 14 Sep 2016 (Forum)
We bought our 2014 Fabia 1.2 Ts about 10 months ago, but due to health problems it's now proving difficult to get in to. So we unfortunately are going to have to change it. Looking at the following contenders Nissan Juke petrol model 2011 35,000 miles £7500 Ford Cmax titanium, 2011, 37000 miles £7900 Citroen Picasso c3 2012 and 2013,  24000 miles both diesel and Petrol £6000 to £8000 several to choose from.
  • Kia Ceed - Seeking advise on used car purchase 30 Jan 2015 (Forum)
I'm currently looking about for a used car for the wifey. She has her heart set on a Kia Ceed, or possibly a Nissan Quashqai. Both cars being equally decent motors. We have two kids, under 2. The wifeys current 3-door is proving to be too much to get kids into baby seats. A 5-door is needed, and a decent boot to take the buggy, so the Ceed or the Quashqai are both decent options.
  • Buying advice needed: Family car - thinking ahead 14 Jul 2014 (Forum)
Afternoon all.   I drive a 2002 Nissan Almera Tino, 1.8 petrol. Bought for £6k in 2006 from a car supermarket.   The vehicle has now got 86,000 miles on it. I do about 6,000 miles a year. I'm hoping the Tino will survive another 2-4 years.
  • Audi A6 - AA warranty 13 Nov 2013 (Forum)
I paid the £50 excess and thought I had done well as a new rad was in the region of £350 plus the labour etc. Today I phoned them to cancel the policy as I was buying a new car and 2 years Nissan warranty was part of the deal. The AA told me that in the small print I either had to keep on paying until the end of next July or pay for the repair whichever was cheapest. I didn't hold back telling them how disgusted I was with this but there was no way out.
  • Best MPG automatic 9 Jul 2013 (Forum)
Hi All During the period while my loved 504 cab was repaired after a lady could not find enough space in 7m to reverse and damaged the door, I was given to drive a Nissan Micra 2013 auto. I have not driven any new cars for a long time, specially an automatic.  I discovered that £30 of fuel would drive me 2 1/2 more than my 33 yo car. But the biggest surprise was the auto in town.
  • Volkswagen Golf IV TDI - Golf TDI shopping Dilemas 1 Mar 2013 (Forum)
So I've been a spectator on the pages several times for advice on bits and bobs, time to join the discussion and ask for some help. My petrol Nissan Almera 1.4 has got to 120k I clocked the last one of these up to 150k, but the current one has to go too much work needs doing now, it's worth £150 scrap or part ex, or perhaps a bit more if I can find a mug to buy it - MOT till November.
  • Does your car make you smile 17 Aug 2012 (Forum)
My Laguna Privilege has been enjoyable to drive but it is now starting to get one fault after another. So, today I went and looked at 2 cars that please my eye. A Nissan Qashqai (15k) and an Audi A5 Sportsback. Audi 2L diesel was 1st and although the car looks wonderful my first words I said to the salesman was "No foot rest for the left foot". Petty to some but I've been so used to it I thought all cars had them these day.

  • Help Deciding New & Unusual/Rare Cheap-To-Run Car 24 Jun 2011 (Forum)
At the moment I've been looking at the Alfa Romeo Mito (which is at the top end of my budget), the new Chevrolet Spark and also upcoming cars like the Nissan Juke (however I am unsure whether this will be OK on insurance, safety seems good). I'm looking for some advice and some ideas for a new car.
  • Panoramic Sunroof - Has anyone had problems? 23 Aug 2010 (Forum)
Like the front windscreen the sunroof is part of the stuctute of the car and was wondering how will it stand potholes, rough roads etc. Ford S-max owners have reported seeing crack in the sunroof after a few years. Nissan brochure says they are very strong. Just that in the past i had a cricket ball smash through my small sunroof on a '96 mondeo. I am aware that the sunroof is very strong but i leave my car parked on the main road overnight.
  • Jaguar XK8 and XKR (1996 - 2006) - Stunt parking of Jag XK8 Convertible 20 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Our cars are getting older, but oh so much more inspiring. Having seen his car I now want to change my new Nissan Qashqai for an S-Type. Yes, it's never-ending. Having previously only used our garage for storing everything that really should be put away in the house, we have now cleaned it out, in the hope that the Jag will fit in - not for everyday, but maybe for when we are away.

  • Toyota Aygo (2005 - ) - Toyota Aygo Blue OR Ford Ka? 27 May 2009 (Forum)
I really need to start thinking about replacing my old car, and with the new government scrappage scheme, this seems like a good time. My current small car is a 1998 Nissan Micra 1.3 GX, but it really is starting to get old. It struggles to hit 60mph, it has a very poor safety rating, the fuel economy can't be brilliant, and the central locking is now completely bust.
  • How does public judge reliability? 6 Jul 2007 (Forum)
In fact, except Honda and Toyota, other Japanese brands are less known to public (to an extent that many Britons still think Suzuki makes only motorcycles). As a result, other Jap brands, like Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Nissan, Subaru, Daihatsu suffer poor resale value compared to Ford and Vauxhall. Similarly, Hyundai and Kia also attract less buyers compared to Ford/Vauxhall. I recently went to my local garage to trade in my Hyundai Accent but he refused, saying he has no idea how to price a Hyundai!
  • What new car for £8-9k? 19 May 2007 (Forum)
I'm mainly picking Japanese/Korean brands because of their value for money and reliability ratings. I'm yet to take test drive in all the cars. I tried Kia Picanto but didn't like it. New Nissan Micra is also very odd shaped. My first and foremost concern is RELIABILITY and good fuel economy. I don't bother much about image. And the car must have height adjustable driver's seat (because my height is short), AC, PAS and 5 doors must.
  • Ripped off by bodyshop? 4 May 2007 (Forum)
Not the bodyshop that sells soap and perfume but the sort that paint your car. A couple of weeks ago my son opened the passenger door of my Nissan into a brick wall and chipped some of the paint. Prior to this it was pristine with barely a mark on it. After I had calmed down (and son come out of hiding!!) I took it to a local bodyshop for a quote for touching up.
