  Drove car and parked up overnight. next morning opened car, radio works and lights etc but when key inserted and I try to start engine all I get is an audible warning and 'Enginge Malfunction' alert on the dash; engine does not turn over or even try to, dead. Help!

  Hi, The digits are scrambled on the display unit for the radio after I took it to be cleaned by a car wash company. They aren't going to pay up so I'm looking at getting this replaced. My question is whether I need an exact part number to replace this? If so, how do i get in there to read the part number?

  The front speakers of my A4 cut out intermittantly. Increasing the volume can help on occasions.And to add to the pain the radio will suddenly lose the signal only to return when it is switched off and on. Understand the wiring could be at fault and needs checking in the door area. Can anyone tell me how to go about fixing this annoying fault?

  Heater Fan suddenly decided to work at only full speed and not other speeds Any suggestions if fan switch. If so how do you get at it ? Tried removed the radio and pulling 4 clips but the front panel would not pop out. If it is the motor underneath the dash how bad is that to replace i imagine really bad ? I

  have a whistle from front left speaker, have changed speaker , battery, fitted inline suppressor, checked wiring , had auto ignition look over it , changed radio/cd unit 6006e, still there ?. any other things i can try , other than the alternator?. thanks..

  I have a Peugeot 406 coupe 1999 2 litre and the diagnostic light comes on intermittently, the speedo and rev counter then go mad up and down and eventually go to zero, also the radio goes off and indicators do not work. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

  2002 jag x type petrol auto..wont start, tried jump leads but battery seems ok. ie all lights, dash, radio etc come on like blackpool illuminations. But the car wont start..instead a very audible clicking sound then a whirring sound when ignition switched off. I should mention outside temperature is somewhere between -12c & -15c !

  I remeber hearing on the radio 'If you see an Armstrong Siddely...salute' is Siddely spelt correctly? Made me think how many makes have gone in my time. We are heading for a market dominated by the big boys but that is how the world seems to be going.

  It has developed an intermittent loss of sound to one or both channels. Almost certainly a connector because radio is fine. It's OK first thing but fault develops after a couple of hours

  I need to programme in my CD player code as I had to replace the battery and so the radio/player went off. I know the code but I don't know how to actually programme it in and each button I press just beeps rudely at me! So frustrating as I'm having to drive in silence!

  If I was to buy and have such a thing installed, eg a kit from parrot or motorola that picks up my mobile's bluetooth. Does the radio always have to be on for it to receive a message from my mobile and play it through the car's speakers ?

  Caught a few seconds of interview, on Local Radio today, the guy who was Thunderbirds character voices of Brains & Gordon & ....PARKER. Said he was possibly going to do Lady Penelope's right hand man, as a sat-nav voice option! Not sure if he was just 'touting' the idea, or it's going to happen.

  Today's radio news says plans are on way to allow hard shoulder as a driving lane on some of the motorways (eg. M1, M6, M42 etc.). However, many wonder where do you stop then for emergency! By the way, we already use a good part of M1 hard shoulder between J6 & J10.

  Hi sorry if I sound a little stupid in asking this but does a 2002 previous shape Espace have a plastic roof , due to being a radio ham someone told me not to buy one as it has a Plastic roof ! This cant be true can it ? The reason I want a steel roof is that my magnetic aerials wont stay on the roof . The other car I may be looking into is a 2004 307 hdi .
