Vauxhall Corsa D '09 - Digital Display Unit - pianoman1

Hi,

The digits are scrambled on the display unit for the radio after I took it to be cleaned by a car wash company. They aren't going to pay up so I'm looking at getting this replaced. My question is whether I need an exact part number to replace this? If so, how do i get in there to read the part number?

Appreciate any help with this.

If it is a basic car spec,I would think that most of the displays are the same.Best to check by removing the dash top fittings to access the unit for the part number.www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0b_-b636pM

I'm quite happy with ordering the part now, but before I do, can anyone tell me if this part will need any specific programming or anything beyond sticking it in and plugging the cable in?

Got hold of a part. Installed it. Everything works fine, except that it goes in to "display safe mode".

After reading around and trying a few things, it looks like it will need to be reprogrammed.

Can anyone tell me how much labour time it takes to reprogram this kind of thing?
