  My j reg BMW supplied standard silencer is a bit too fruity for my old grey haired liking, does anybody know of a quieter system or would a Walker silencer help and where could a buy one in the London SW19 area.

  Someone told me the new BMW Series 5 and 7 climate control system is causing problems. It is controlled by the Microsoft CE for Automotive operating system. When it fails, the only way to get it to work again is to turn the engine off and restart the vehicle.

  I have a BMW 520 (3.25 years old) in which the trip computer recently started showing a spurious mpg reading of 7.1 mpg. Any idea where the problem could lie and if it is easy to fix? thanks

  An academic paper alleges what many have suspected for a long time. Drivers of the Subaru, Porsche and BMW brands are more likely on average to be "risky", with drivers of Subaru cars involved in proportionately the most “injudicious action”. A study of more than 400,000 road accidents found that speeding, jumping a red light, overtaking on double white lines or ignoring pedestrian crossings were more likely to be a factor when a Subaru, Porsche or BMW were involved.

  I was told by the recovery driver that this is an enormous job for bmw and it will most likely be written off. Does that sound right? He said the entire main loom would need rewiring.

  Took my BMW 3 series for its first service and for some reason let the dealer wash my car. big big mistake now its covered in scratches -swirls  they have booked it onto BMW bodyshop to sort out, I wondered what they will actually do , just polish it out or give it a proper paint correction with wash ,iron x , polish  anybody else had they same issues

  Just been told one of my Alloys is cracked, BMW did a run out test (0.7mm) and no visual impact damage. Have been told as it is not the style (225) that had a problem with cracking they won't have anything to do with it. My wheels are the 19" 313 style and only done 24000 miles I am surprised by BMW's it's your problem not ours attitude.

  Driving home 11pm at the weekend I was followed for several miles by a BMW X5. For the first time in my life I started to understand the warnings on the news which state 'the following news report contains flash photography'. Every time the BMW hit even the slightest undulation in the road, the lights seemed to flash in my rearview.

  Hi, On the M4 today I accelerated fairly hard and my BMW 320d autobox kicked down. I glanced in the rear view mirror and the unfortunate BMW 7 series following me was buried in smoke from my exhaust. I did not notice any loss of power and as I eased up the smoke went away.

  Is it pointless using fully synt engine oil on a high mileage bmw 318 diesel? The car has 100k plus and runs well.....I changed it when I bought it with some duckhams semi(Just to be safe)......and car seems ok. Would castrol magnatec be ok?
