  • London’s first autonomous cars will be based on Heathrow Pods 29 Jan 2016 (News)
    The first autonomous cars to go into service in London will be based on the Heathrow pods, two-person vehicles that automatically drive along a track between Terminal Five and the business car park. They will be introduced in Greenwich. Three UK companies are to work on the project. Westfield Sportscars is leading the prject, while Heathrow Enterprises is developing software and Oxbotica is working on mapping, localisation and perception to enable the pods to safely navigate Greenwich.The pods are being developed as part of an £8m project called GATEway (Greenwich Automated Transport Environment).

Porsche expects that 300 cars will be inspected at the clinics on Saturday October 8 th .

Nissan adds that this makes it the UK's largest producer and exporter of automobiles, with the company hoping to hit the 400,000 mark this year.

  • New Suzuki Alto Qualifies for £70 VED 17 Jan 2003 (News)
    Suzuki has launched its new Indian built Alto in the UK today. And this new 1.1 litre car emits just 119g/km CO2 which automatically qualifies of for £70pa VED. Combined consumption is very parsimonious too at 57.6mpg. Engine is a single cam 16v of 1,061cc which puts out 62PS and 85Nm (63lb ft) torque. The car is 3,495mm long by 1,475mm wide by 1,455 high.
