• Renault Scenic 2005 1.9 diesel - Electronic ignition problems 14 Nov 2017 (Forum)
  Just joined the forum, searched but cant find an answer. My renault has a push start electronic ignition. insert card, depress clutch or brake, push button to start. This morning it wouldnt start, seemed like the system couldnt recognise that the clutch or brake was depressed.
• Renault Master - Mass airflow sensor 2 Nov 2015 (Forum)
  The mass airflow sensor is suspected to be faulty but when I compare the illustration of the location of the sensor, within the air intake pipe in the engine compartment, provided by the Renault dealer I cannot find any evidence of the sensor unit fitted in the air ducting. Are all Master vans of this build year fitted with a mass airflow sensor and, if so, is it installed elsewhere than in the air intake pipework?

• Renault Trafic 1.9dci - Cut out on motorway and won't start 10 May 2014 (Forum)
  My Renault Trafic cut out on motorway. 70mph Pre heat light came on. It turns over but wont fire . Diagnostic says DF056 mass airflow. Changed it and still wont start.Changed EGR. No joy.  Diagnostic also said left front wheel speed sensor but that shouldn't stop it firing up should it?

  I have a 57/07 Renault Megane and the driver's electric window works OK but the other three windows are not working.

  Dacia have had to anounce the further delay of some of its models as the demand outstrips supply.   The Renault dealer tells me the Logan may be postponed until next year as the factorys struggle to meet UK demand for the remainder of this year. The existence of Dacia alongside Renault in the showrooms is also causing conflict as some customers are shunning Renault products and opting for Dacia, particulary the Duster.

  Hi, i have a renault scenic 1.9dci 2005. Have recently had a new recon engine fitted. Recently noticed that engine cooling fan is acting erratic, coming on too early, and then going off and on, off and on very quickly. also, when this happens my headlights dip quite noticably to the point where a car in front might think i am flashing at them.

  Hi, I have a 2004 Renault Clio 1.5 DCI. when I brake at any speed in excess of roughly 40 MPH I can feel quite a severe ' judder' through the brake pedal, I have had the discs and pads replaced, and had the N/S wheel bearing replaced (because there was a bit of wear in it) but the problem persists, the car has ABS.

  Hi, my 2002 Renault Clio 1.2 16v won't start. It stopped working yesterday, sounded like the battery had gone. Replaced the battery today, but now I can only hearing and clicking noise. Tried bump starting and tried jump leads but neither has worked.

  Hello The turbo has gone on my Renault Clio 1.5 DCi 100 bhp. I've found a number of second hand turbos on the internet, but they are all for the 80 bhp model. Does anyone know whether the turbos are compatible across the various 1.5 DCi engine range, or whether I need to get a 100 bhp specific one?

  I have a Renault megane 8v which revs up on its own , I have checked all the vacumm hoses extra and cant find any split. The car also seems to have a miss fire on number 4 pot, I have checked the coil's, plug and ht leads and compression tested but all are fine.

  Hi folks, I know this forum is for cars but I'm trying to get an honest opinion on the Renault trafic van. My plan is to convert one into a people carrier. I need a big boot where I can use the top half as a boot and the bottom half for my 3 dogs. This is the best solution I can come up with without getting a dog trailer.

  I knew it was due for a service, so I've given it an oil change, oil filter & fuel filter. The light's still on. Any ideas? I'm loathe to take it to Renault - last time I had an emissions light & they said I needed a new EGR valve at £500 plus. I ignored them & the light went off after a few days.

  My non Renault garage is trying this morning to sort out my 2001 1.4 16v > Clio which is running rough. The coils and plugs are fine. The ECU light > came on and two codes are showing:- 201 Polluntant & 202 Cat error.

  hi,my renault kangoo immobiliser is playing up, what happens is when you turn the key in the ignition the red light should stop flashing and go permanent red then the car should start, but it doesnt, but if i turn the key backward and forwards a few times in the ignition that does it i.e it the light goes permanent and it starts !!

Out neighbor owns a carvan with the following engine: - Renault Master 2,5 DCI - Typ G 94632 - engine No: C 002930 - first registration: 05/2007 Occasionally they experience massive power loss. Additionally the indicator light for preheat is activated. Their service station seems to be clueless.

  hi hopefully a quick and simple question, does anyone know where the coolant temp sensor is on a '96 2.0l 8v renault megane? i'm guessing it's either the 3 pin green sensor or 2 pin white sensor in the thermostat housing but it would be great if someone could definitely confirm which it is. also i assume it will be the coolant temp sensor that provides the reading to the temperature gauge on the dash?

  Certainly cheap, but is it any good? It seems to meet the right API/ACEA specs looking at the blurred image text. I hear it's a Renault-approved brand, is this true? It's between this stuff and GM's own (second cheapest), but this doesn't specify whether it's good for diesel engines. BTW it's for different cars we have at home.
