Master Caravan 07 2.5 DCI; intermittant power loss - Bernd TA
Hello!

Out neighbor owns a carvan with the following engine:
- Renault Master 2,5 DCI
- Typ G 94632
- engine No: C 002930
- first registration: 05/2007

Occasionally they experience massive power loss. Additionally the indicator light for preheat is activated.

Their service station seems to be clueless.
The have already changed the turbo-charger without help.

Has anyone of you has an idea?

Thank you very much in advance.
Bernd

If the glow indicator is coming on when driving, then that means that the engine ECU has detected a fault and fault-codes will have been stored in the ECU memory. These can be accessed by good equipment and will give some clue as to what is wrong.

If the fault is serious enough, then the ECU will also switch to "limp-home" low-power mode to prevent engine damage.
