  • Car keyed 27 Jan 2006 (Forum)
What is the best way to treat this and how much is it likely to cost? How does this affect the paint warranty - ie do I have to take it to Nissan for repair? I do not want to go down the insurance route if at all possible.
  • Micra Converible? 1 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Saw a Green Nissan Micra convertible yesterday down in Radstock, near Bath. Was this an imported non-UK car or a special conversion? I am not saying I liked it, in fact it looked ghastly but it was certainly distictive!
  • New Model Cars 14 Jun 2005 (Forum)
New Passat - not really fussed either way, didn't really grab me but didn't make me want to grab the sick bucker. Nissan Murano - I like it...... ALOT! Suzuki Swift - Only a quick glimpse as one went the other way but it looked pretty enough. Seat Toledo - Looked like the love child of an original Merc A Class and a Renault Vel Satis.
  • Honda Ridgeline 17 May 2005 (Forum)
Got my first look at one of these today: http://www.autoweek.com/files/specials/2005_detroit/honda/ridgeline/pages/1.htm These pickups are geting far too "soft" IMHO and this thing will have a long way to go to beat the the Nissan Frontier, our current market leader. If you want a car buy a car, if you want a pickup buy a pickup, not some indeterminate version of something in between. Honda's too late in the market with this anyway.
  • 99primera p11-144sport+ 19 Mar 2005 (Forum)
I really like the clear style side repeater wing indicators, but cant seem to locate any for my model, plenty for p10s/p11s,but no p11-144s 99-02 models.A friend said he had read somewhere that either the p12 or skyline r33/34 repeaters would fit,but the local nissan dealer didnt seem to know, and as they would after be ordered in especially that if they where wrong they could not give a refund,so i need something a bit more concrete before i order them, any ideas guys. Thanks
  • Almera Tino auto central locking 25 Jan 2005 (Forum)
Colleague of mine has a Nissan Almera Tino (54 plate). If you remove key from ignition and exit the vehicle, leaving the vehicle unlocked, after 2 minutes (ish) the central locking activates and automatically locks all the doors.
  • Terrano 2 tyre wear 26 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Anyone out there running a Nissan Terrano 2 built within the last couple of years? Do these cars still leave the factory with the front wheel geometry mis-set, needing re-alignment by the dealer to prevent horrendous and uneven front tyre wear?
  • HJ's FAQs - Antifreeze advice 31 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Furthermore, I had a head gasket replacement done last year - any connection? Should I definitely replace it with genuine stuff from Nissan in future? (I intend to replace it before next winter anyway) Thanks in advance Paul
  • \'98 Primera - Suspension problem 16 Feb 2004 (Forum)
My \'98 Primera has just had it\'s 6 month service ( 76000 miles ),at the Nissan main dealers. They say that the \'front Top Suspension Links\' are worn and need replacing. They have quoted £333 which seems v.expensive.I don\'t think much of the dealers anyway but are they trying to rip me off ??
  • Depreciation - Winners & Losers 22 Jan 2004 (Forum)
It was good to see the Rover 75 in 5th position, losing only 34.2% over the 3 year period. Bottom was the Renault Laguna which lost a massive 68.9%, followed closely by the Nissan Primera and Ford Mondeo, which both lost over 66%. There is no question that depreciation is the greatest cost of car ownership when buying new, but the Mondeo makes a great buy at 3 years old.!!!
  • Dismantling suspension strut.Nis\'n Sunny 9 Jan 2004 (Forum)
Hi, I have to replace the bearing at the top of the front suspension strut on a 1993 Nissan Sunny. Does anyone have a good way of removing the top nut (to seperate the spring from the shock)using hand tools? I don\'t want to take the strut to a garage to do (with an air tool), because this will mean I can\'t do the job on a weekend and the car\'s out of action for a couple of days.
  • New Driver - Great deal but Girly car??? 5 May 2003 (Forum)
Anybody got any views on it and how much stick do you think I will take for it from my mates. Should I hold out for a Nissan Micra? Wont come anywhere close to this deal but its a bit bigger. Your opinions much appreciated.
  • Buying British 7 Feb 2002 (Forum)
....Cars: Although many of the UK Government's ministerial cars are made overseas* - Ford Mondeos, for instance, are made in Belgium - the following cars are assembled in UK plants: Ford Fiesta; Honda Civic and Accord; Nissan Micra, Primera, and Almera; Peugeot 206; Toyota Corolla and Avensis; Vauxhall Astra; all Jaguar, Land Rover, MG and Rolls Royce/Bentley models; and some Vectras........................... from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/newsid_1804000/1804161.stm * perhaps they want to export the environmental damage from new car production?
  • Which car to buy: Help me decide. 3 Jul 2016 (Forum)
If I overcome the stigma what are the reasons to consider not buying a BMW over the Nissan or a Honda ? Apologies for the rather long post. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read. Your thoughts and suggestion will be much appreciated. Cheers, OR
  • Nissan X-Trail - Dealer hiding MoT Advisories 10 Aug 2013 (Forum)
However, this was an A5 (half of A4) piece of paper, and I commented on how small it was, it which I got no reply. Around six months later I got the vehicle serviced at Nissan dealer who advised me the rear brakes were dangerously low and needed urgent attention. I felt this was a little strange as I had only done around 2,000 miles since I purchased the car. I replaced the rear pads myself, and indeed they were very low.
  • Nissan Micra (1992 - 2003) - 02 1.4 Engine Management System 14 Jul 2009 (Forum)
In a discussion with the garage and my wife, I expressed my own lack of confidence in engine management systems generally. I suggested that short of removing the bulb, the next move might best be at a Nissan main dealer, where they would presumably have more sophisticated and more up-to-date diagnostic systems. We took the car to our nearest main dealer and related the history of the problem so far. They diagnosed the O2 Sensors and said that they probably needed replacement again because previously they had not been replaced as a pair.
  • Can You Help Settle A Dispute? 26 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Again nothing was received therefore I phoned in October to ask if they would be agreeable to me obtaining the key myself (job was quoted from a Nissan dealer at around £30) and if I sent them the paid invoice would they refund me the full cost. An agreement was reached with the salesman that this would be the case. Earlier this month I eventually found time to contact the nearest Nissan dealer to get the key cut/programmed in, etc and they advised that the cost would actually be in the region of £45.00.

  • Research on 'My' new car ownership sites 4 Oct 2016 (Forum)
Hi All, I am undertaking a bit of research for a project I'm working on around the various car brands ownership portals - MyFord, Your Audi, MyHyundai, You+ Nissan etc.   Those of you that have purchased a new car could you spare a minute to let me know: 1. Where you aware of this site when you bought the car? 2. Do you find it useful, if yes, which part?
